Flashback

Blackpink in Los Angeles, 2019

I feel so good today! I'm still a little jet-lagged, but I had planned something for me and my Jisooya near the beach! I'm happy she was up for it. I know she gets more tired on the plane rides than I do. Management wanted us to shoot some video footage of our day out.

So there are two other camera men with us. I honestly wish it was just her and I, but we're filming for Blackpink Diaries, so at least we get to show the Blinks a piece of what we see!

We're at a cute cafe, getting brunch before going to the beach. The table is so small, even better! It's really like we're on a date. When she had the camera on, she said that I looked beautiful and you do not understand how much my heart melted!!

"Days like this are so nice, Unnie," I take a bite out of the lobster pasta we ordered.

"I know, I've been wanting to see the beach in LA. I feel good being with you," she says as she's chewing some pizza, and my heart is screaming again.

After our meal, we head out to walk the streets. Everything here looks so retro, I love it! We stop here and there for photos and videos. It feels so refreshing not having to be anywhere at a certain time. Last night, Blackpink performed at Coachella for the first time ever!! It was amazing! This pace the day after is what I needed, plus I get to be with Jisoo!

"You're so pretty, Lisa!" I hear this from her over and over from behind my camera, this is the best day ever.

I'd say, "Not as pretty as you, Sooya!" Then we'd continue our walk down the bay, hand in hand.

I'm also filming for my own YouTube channel, LiliFilm. These videos I started because of an idea I saw with a couple doing cute things. I thought to myself, why not with Jisoo?? It was kind of like me hinting at her, but I'm not sure if she understood that.

One day, I'm going to tell you that I love you, Jisoo. One day.

End Flashback

The next morning

I stir out of sleep, but my eyelids are so hard to open. I wonder what time it is. I hear a song play behind me and it sounds familiar. Is Jisoo awake before me??

I turn my neck to bump into the body behind me. I "slept over" in her room again. I can't help it, her bed is just so comfortable! It's most likely because I get to sleep with her, but still.

'See U Later' is playing quietly on her phone.

"Goodmorning, my love!" I turn and wrap my arm around her stomach.

"Morning, sleepyhead," I feel a kiss on my head with my eyes still half closed, and that's enough to make my lips curl up.

Once I find enough strength to open my eyes, I can see that she's watching one of my LiliFilm videos! It's the video of us in Japan. 

"You're watching this?" My voice sounds like a baby frog right now.

"Honestly, I miss going on trips. This one was one of my favorites."

Japan was one of my favorites too. For the most part, it was because I was able to spend a lot of time getting to know her. I mean, not that I haven't for the last ten years! But in Japan, we talked more about our feelings to each other than I could ever expect.

"Me too. I still remember that night where you asked me to come over to your room because you couldn't sleep."

"And we fell asleep watching Disney movies on the couch! Our bodies didn't forgive us when we had to get up." We share a small laugh. Thinking about that seems like a distant memory.

"Can I ask you something, Lisa?"

I nod on her shoulder, while I'm still wrapped around her.

"Last week, that night...was that your first time?" That question hits me out of nowhere. Up until this point, we hadn't talked about because of how busy we've been.

"It was. And I'm so happy it was with you." I'm more alert now, and when I look up at her, her skin is glowing in the light that circling her room.

"I know we haven't talked about it, but it was my first time too. I just wanted you to know how special it is for me knowing I could be comfortable with everything we're doing."

"Sentimental today, ChiChu?"

"Hey, don't take this for granted!"

I laugh, "No, I'm not. I feel the same. That night, it was firsts for a lot of things. I've never had anything like that happen to me, or I've never felt so—"

"So free?"

"Yeah, that's one way to describe it. I've never felt so connected, and in love before."

"You're in love with me?"

"Are you kidding, Jisoo? I've been in love with you. You're the only person I ever wanted."

Wow. Saying this out loud to her is so powerful. This has been in my head for the past couple years. But there was always that filter in my head to stop me. I kept pushing down my feelings when it came down to her, and it hurt everyday.

I feel her body turn my way, so she's facing me, our heads on the same pillow. Gah! You don't understand how amazing her eyes look in the light. These light roasted coffee brown orbs are enough to give me energy for the rest of my life.

Her hand reaches up to my jaw, and she says, "I love you."

Hearing this makes my smile come up again. This time, it feels like the corners of my mouth are pushing my cheeks so high up my face. Finally.

"I love you more, my Jisoo."

She moves in to meet my lips, which is still in a big smile. This feels like it's straight from a movie. Her lips just feel right. Her touch always makes sense to me. I hold her neck and she lets me deepen this kiss. Our bodies are press against one another and her warmth feels like home.

I have no idea what our futures hold, but if it could start and end like this everyday, I won't ever complain. I know it's only been over a week since everything happened, and fortunately we haven't had any challenges, but if I could stay in this feeling—in this bed—like this with her forever, I would.
