The Plane Ride

It was early in the morning barley 5 am I was grumpy but exited in 1 hour we would be on the plane on the way to Ireland with my friends we have talked about this trip for a year and it was finally here it had been a long year for me my long time boyfriend Rob had just been recruited to the NFL to play football so we had decided to go our separate ways to make things easier so after 8 years I was single. It kinda felt weird I didn't know how to act finally I heard the horn honking which brought me out of my thoughts the girls were here Bella,Penelope,Brook,Peyton and myself had been besties since kindergarten and had always dreamed to go on a trip like this when I came out the door they all screamed they were wide awake I was the only one in the group not a morning person when I got to the car they had me a coffee in hand I smiled and said y'all know me well. When we finally got to the airport we went thru security check and baggage claims and went to our gate over in the corner we noticed a group of guys they were being rowdy and loud I rolled my eyes and finished my coffee right before we got on the plane we went and found our seats Bella and Brook were seated together then Penelope and Peyton were seated together I claimed my isle seat we were all still close enough to talk but I put my head phones on and put my pillow behind me and closed my eyes about 10 minutes in I felt a tap on my shoulder thinking it was one of the girls I groaned what do you want from me without opening my eyes I then felt another tap I opened my eyes and said OMG I then noticed it was the blond haired guy from the group that was being so loud in the airport I was so embarrassed I took my headphones out and asked can I help you?he said that's my seat right there can I slide in I rolled my eyes and stood up he grinned and said not a morning person I see I'm Niall I said great you wanna cookie he said alright I'll just look out the window then I put my headphones in and closed my eyes again. About 3 hours in I woke up I was in a way better mood the blonde hair boy was sleeping now I looked back at Penelope who was right behind me she smiled and said are we in a better mood now I said yes much better! She said you were kinda rude to your seat mate I said I know I'll have to apologize when he wakes up she said he's funny you'll like him. Once he woke up I tapped him on his shoulder he took his headphones out and asked are you gonna yell at me again? I said no I'd like to apologize to you I was rude I'm not a morning person at all and had been up since 4am my name is McKenzie he said I'm Niall nice to meet you I said ditto he smiled and said he'd never heard that saying before I laughed I guess it's not a popular phrase. He asked what kind of trip I was on I said me and my friends I pointed back at them are headed to Ireland for 3 months he said no way that's where me and my Lads are headed we are originally from there I said nice anything you recommend he said the pubs are great Dublin is beautiful and the people are amazing as you can see I'm pretty great and he smiled it made me chuckle. We talked for hours it seemed like he was interesting and easy to talk too not to mention I loved his accent after a while I decided I was gonna sleep some he said goodnight I smiled and said it back. Before we knew it we were landing on our way out the airport I heard my name being called I turned it was Niall he said can we exchange numbers maybe we can all meet up sometime while your here I took his phone and added my number his friends started to make noises and Niall blushed he said I'm texting you now add me to your phone he sent me a winking emoji and said it was nice to meet you and your friends I smiled and we all started giggling and with that we headed to our hotel it was beautiful here I still couldn't believe we were actually in Ireland once we made our way to the hotel we were super exited all our rooms were on the same hall we all piled in to Brooks room since it was in the middle to decide what we were gonna go eat for dinner we decided to go to Nandos once we were done there we decided to go to a pub in the area it was packed but we still went in I said I have the first round so I headed to the bar as I waited for our drinks I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned and there stood Niall grinning from ear to ear he said hey you found the pubs I said yeah we did are you following me now he said no we live close by he was definatly tipsy he said so wheres your friends I said there waiting on me to bring our drinks he said why dont you join me and the lads so once I got our drinks we all headed to where they were he smiled and introduced everyone he said this is liam, Louis, harry, and zayn and you already know me I said these are my friends Bella,Penelope, Brook and Peyton and I'm McKenzie we all joked around all night until the pub was closing I said I was headed back but the girls wanted to hang out with the boys still so I headed out by myself before I hit the road I heard my name called Niall said let me walk you you shouldn't walk alone I said sure so he ran out it had gotten cold so he offered me his jacket I remeber it smelling so good kinda comforting he talked most of the walk he then apologized he said I ramble when I'm nervous I giggled and said what are you nervous about he said because your so beautiful I could feel myself blush I whispered stop that he said what your gorgeous I said thank you and quickly changed the subject I ask so what are you on break from school he said something like that we finally made it to my room he kinda stood there for a minute like he wanted me to invite him in but I wasnt ready for that I just met him he said so will I see you tommorow I said I dont know what were doing but you have my number if you wanna check he said goodnight then and walked out i totally forgot I had his jacket on so I guess I will give it to him later I went and jumped in the shower and it felt amazing I let the hott water beat on me for a while when I got out I put some music on and started to read then a I heard my phone buzzed it was a text it read hey Mac hope you dont mind me calling you that but I have to tell you this tonight I really like you even though we've only know each other less than 48 hours I think we should get to know each other I laughed out loud he was so wasted i simply replied ok and goodnight he replied that's all I get I said we have 3 months to get to know each other we'll talk about it when your sober he said ok I can deal with that with a winking emoji with that I dozed off to sleep.
