The Accident

The next morning when I woke up Niall was gone I headed out in to the living room there was a note on the kitchen counter saying babe I ran to the market to get some things I'll see you when I get home I started some coffee and went to shower I heard my phone ring but I let it ring I'd call them back once I was done in the shower I went in to the room to get dressed I sorted through my cloths to see what I was gonna wear all of a sudden I heard banging on the front door I went in my towel and opened the door it was Zayn he said get dressed quick there was an accident I said what kind of accident he said hurry I'll explain on the way to the hospital I rushed and threw on some sweats and threw my hair up in a bun grabbed my bag and headed out I said tell me what's going on he said Niall was headed back on his bike from the market a car ran a red light and hit him I said is he he said he's hurt bad but he was conscious at the scene he was asking for you so I volunteered to pick you up I automatically felt sick it seemed that the drive took forever when we got there when I got out of the car I got light headed Zayn took my hand and said he's gonna be ok I took a deep breath and started to head in when we got to the counter the white haired lady told us he was taken to emergency surgery and told us where we could wait and that a doctor would be out with updates as they came it seemed like it was taken forever after a while a blonde girl came and sat down I assumed she was waiting for someone else but when Zayn came back from the bathroom he said What The hell are you doing here she said they still have me as his emergency contact and called me when he walked over to me I whispered who is that he said Gabriella Nialls ex that cheated on him I instantly got nauseous again I said I have to get some air will you text me if you hear anything I quickly walked out I felt like I was gonna throw up I walked down to a garden they have and sat and took deep breaths tears we're streaming I sat for like an hour and then headed to get a coffee my phone buzzed it was Zayn he said he's out of surgery and in recovery if you wanna come see him we're in room 305 I replied K and stayed in line to get my coffee I took it and went back to the garden I wasn't ready to head in about 30 minutes I got another text from Zayn saying Niall was awake and asking for me I finished my coffee and slowly walked to the elevators I hit the 3rd floor and slowly walked to room 305 when I opened the door he smiled when he saw me but when I completely got in there she was holding his hand and watching him closely I suddenly felt like I was suffocating he glanced down and realized what I was looking at he pulled his hand away I quickly said I'm glad your out of surgery and awake but I gotta go he said please I said I have to go maybe I'll come back later as soon as the door shut I started bawling I heard him tell Zayn to please go get me and then He told Gabriella you need to leave I don't want you here I was at the elevators when zayn found me he said look please come back she's gone and won't be back I said I need to catch my breath and gather my thoughts and I'll be back in there. I stood at his door for 5minutes before going in when I went in he had tears coming down his face I said are you hurting he said yeah but not from the wreck I said I'm fine we're fine I sat and held his hand he broke his left leg in 3 places had some broken ribs and broke his left collar bone and wrist I knew he wouldn't be able to travel for a while and I was suppose to leave in 3 days he kept glancing at me and he finally said I'm scared I said about what he said I'm losing you in 3 days I can't travel for a while I got up and kissed his forehead and whispered we'll figure it out let's focus on you resting right now he said you'll be here when I wake up right I said I'm not leaving. He smiled and said I love you so much I said I love you too he the. Closed his eyes I sat there going through everything in my head I must have dozed off because I felt a tap on my shoulder it was the nurse she said we're taking him for some new scans we'll be back soon you can wait here if you want I got up and kissed him he said please don't stay gone to long I said I'm gonna go shower change my cloths and I'll be back for the night. He held my hand until he couldn't no longer I went and asked zayn if hed give me a ride to the loft and then back he said of course on our way there I realized I needed to stay with him at least until we could both travel if that was what he still wanted to do Zayn said are you ok I said yeah I'm fine I just realized I'm staying here for a while so I can be with Niall. he smiled and said I knew you wouldnt leave him or at least I was hoping i said i need to apply to some school jobs back home I worked with students with special needs I'll have to work so I can have an income he said my friend works in the school system let me see what I can do I smiled and said thanks we finally made it back to the loft as soon as I walked through the door my phone started ringing it was Niall I said hello he said are you back yet I said no I just made it to the apartment I'm gonna shower pack a bag and eat something then I'll be back for a while he said it seems like it's been forever I said it's been 15 minutes he said well dont take to long I said I'll hurry when we finally got back everyone was there my girl friends and the boys when I walked in he grabbed my hand and kissed it he said i missed you i smiled and said I'm here for a while now i wont leave he said can we talk when everyone leaves i said of course everyone was signing his cast and joking i just sat back and took it all in he patted the side of the bed wanting me to lay with him i said i dont wanna hurt you he said you wont so i climbed in the bed it felt amazing being close to him again i took in his smell he kept kissing my head and whispered I'm gonna miss this and then i forgot i hadnt told him yet i leaned up and whispered your not gonna have to miss this he looked and said what do you mean i said I'm gonna stay and I'm gonna get a job here until we can later discuss what were gonna do he started crying I said what's wrong he said these are happy tears you just made me the happiest man on earth!I kissed him and said now you don't have to worry about nothing but getting better. It was time for his rounds of meds so I told him I was stepping out while the nurse did her thing and I would be back when they were done when I walked out to the garden I had found a familiar voice said you found this place too I turned it was Zayn I smiled and said yes it's my quiet place when I need to gather my thoughts he said I'll pay you a penny for your thoughts and winked I smiled and said we'd be here forever he grinned and said we have time I sheepishly smiled and said I'm worried and nervous I said I know nobody here my friends are leaving in a day and I'm gonna have to use my savings until I start working and I have no idea how I'm gonna work and take care of Niall when he comes home he said it'll all work out and I'm your friend and I'm not leaving and I'll help out with him too it's all gonna be ok and he put his arm around me which was weird but I didn't move it was comforting next thing I knew I was bawling into his shoulder he said I'm gonna be here for you too it's gonna be fine I felt like such a girl next thing I knew my phone buzzed I answered it was Niall he said I'm done with my meds are you headed back I said yeah I'll be there in 5 I hugged Zayn and thanked him and headed back up when I walked in he looked at me concerned and whispered are you alright I said yeah I'm fine why he said I know you've been crying I said I am just a little nervous that's all but I'm ok now he frowned and said if this is too much for you I understand you can go I said no I promise I'm alright I love you and I'm here for the long hall he reached for my hand and pulled me over he said whatever your nervous about tell me I'll reassure you I said my friends are leaving and I'm gonna have to live off my savings until I start working he said babe I have money plenty of it you don't have to use your savings do you know what I'm on break from I said no he said from 1 direction we took a hiatus so money is not a object and you'll make new friends and your old friends can come visit I had no clue who or what 1 direction was but I just said ok and he kissed my forehead and said just relax my friends were about to head out for there last night here I looked at Niall guilty but said I need to spend the last night with them will you be alright right when I said the last word Zayn walked in and said it's my night to hang out with my pal you go spend time with your friends and get a good nights rest and he winked I glanced down at Niall and he was looking between the two of us I leaned down and kissed him and said I'd be back tomorrow-after my friends left he kissed me back and when I went to walk he pulled me down one more time and whispered I love you McKenzie and kissed me again a little more passionately this time I pulled back a little and whispered I love you more and pecked his lips and left. He looked worried about something but I let it go when I got to Brooke's room i showered and borrowed some of her cloths and threw them on i looked so pretty tonight and i felt guilty about it but i sucked it up and went out in the living room the girls squealed i just smiled big we first went out for dinner and then headed to catch the train to dublin since they had the best pubs I said the first round is on my I went and grabbed us some Jameson whiskey shots and we headed to the dance floor I took a selfie and sent it to Niall he sent a sad face and said your so beautiful wish I was with you I said I miss you and I'll see you later. We danced and laughed so much that night I didn't want it to end about 5 minutes later I got a text I thought it was gonna be Niall but it was Zayn he said he friend just wanted to tell you hes fine and make sure your having fun you deserve it and take your time coming back I have him with a 😊😊 it made me smile Penelope smiled and said who is it Niall and glanced at my phone and then said OMG your texting Zayn what is going on I said he is just a friend I swear he sat with Niall so I could come out tonight she said ok and winked at me a second later peyton was handing me another drink I threw it back and put my phone away before I knew it it was 3am by the time we made it back it was 5am I could barely keep my eyes open and I popped some advil and downed a bottle of water I plugged my phone into the charger and threw on some of Nialls sweats about 10 minutes later my phone was blowing up it was Niall I answered but all I could here was heavy breathing and muffled cries I said Niall can you hear me what is wrong what's going on then I heard a deep familiar voice he said Nialls having a panick attack he cant calm himself can you come in I said I'm on the way I'll be there in 10 minutes I couldn't drive because I was still intoxicated so I threw on some shoes and ran I made it there I probally looked a hott mess baggy sweats full make up and hair done and smelt like a brewery I finally made it to him he was still hyperventilating I climbed in the bed with him and took his hand I whispered Niall hear my voice listen to my voice I'm here with you now take deep calm breaths with me in and out he finally started to calm down and he buried his face in my chest and sobbed I said Niall what is going on I'm not understanding he said I cant have you cheat on me because stuck in this hospital bed I cant lose you because of an accident i saw how you looked at Zayn before you left i saw how you looked in that picture your planning on replacing me he was getting worked up again i whispered Niall i need you to listen and listen good I'm here with you I'm here for you I'm in love with you and soon enough you'll be home with me and we'll be able to sleep in the same bed we'll go back to being us Niall but you have to be patient and let your body start to heal Niall James Horan i am undeniably in love with you and i would do anything for you i kissed him and backed away he then he grabbed my face with his good hand and passionately kissed me and said your the love of my life I whispered in his ear lets get some rest I cuddled up to him and listened to his heart beat as i dozed off.
