-The Coffee Shop-
*Lillie’s p.o.v*
‘Please, please be quiet.’ I begged my month old baby boy but it was hopeless, he just won’t stop crying no matter what I do.
I’m by myself in a small apartment, Aiden and I bought. Aiden left to go back to university a few days after Cecilia died, I’ve heard hardly anything from him. When I do get to talk to him, the conversations are blunt and short. I don’t think I have said or heard the words ‘I love you’ in the past month at all. Honestly I miss him and need him, but I’m mad at him he left only a few days after I had gotten out of hospital with our little boy as her little girl had died that morning. I’ve had no help raising Owen this past month, I’m going to see mum today she knows about the loss of my girl so knows not to bring it up.
I pulled on jeans and a jumper before picking up Owen and the baby bag and headed out to meet Mum.
I arrived at the coffee shop, mum and I meet at. Mum wasn’t there instead Tom and Kelsey stood there, I haven’t seen them since the radio station.
‘Lillie?’ Tom asked shocked.
‘Hi.’ I replied not sure what to do.
‘I thought you had left the country, I haven’t seen you in what 7 months where the hell have you been?’ He questioned, Kelsey nudged him as a cry came from the bundle in my arms.
‘Err let me introduce to you, your great nephew Owen.’ I mumbled while handing Owen to Tom.
‘Aww, Lillie he is so cute.’ Kelsey cooed taking him away from Tom.
‘Hi Lillie, sorry I’m late.’ Mum said from behind me. We all turned to look at her.
‘Hey Tom, Kelsey how are you?’ Mum asked hugging me then her brother.
‘We’re alright, just bumped into Lillie and met our great nephew for the first time.’ Tom said hugging mum back.
‘El can I talk to you for a minute.’ Tom asked, mum nodded and followed him outside to talk.

‘El, does Nath know about you meeting up with Lillie?’ I asked.
‘No, he doesn’t.’ She replied.
‘Nath, doesn’t even know that his daughter is alive, you know how badly he has been beating himself up after what he said to Lillie, you have to persuade Lillie to see him or take him to Lillie.’ I tried to explain to my sister.
‘She needs time Tom, let her get over the loss of her baby first then let her move on to other issues.’ Ellie excused.
‘What loss?’ I questioned confused.
‘Tom, Lillie gave birth to twins but lost her daughter, Cecilia 3 days later and Aiden is at university so it is just her and the baby, she needs me Tom.’ Ellie informed me.
‘She needs all of us, we can all help but for the last 7 months she has shut herself away from everyone but you.’ I protested, feeling the need to help my niece.
‘I’ve only seen her three times, it’s taken her a while to open up to me.’ El confessed.
‘Either way you are gonna have to talk to Nathan about it you can’t keep this from him it will kill him, you know that El.’ I said sternly.
‘I will talk to him tonight.’ She sighed.

Mum and Tom came in after their talk, Kelsey and I were sat with teas, Kelsey was still holding Owen and making a fuss over him.
‘Come on Kels, we need to get back to our kids.’ Tom chuckled at Kelsey.
Kelsey handed me back Owen before standing up and leaving with Tom, Mum sat down in the seat Kelsey had just got up from.
As soon as she sat down I just spilled out everything about Aiden and him being away.
We are both going through mourning of our little girl yet, he isn’t here. We aren’t going through it together. Just because I don’t spill my feelings out down the phone, doesn’t mean I don’t want or need him. I just want him to be here with me, have him by my side.
He promised me forever, or does that ring mean nothing anymore?
