Hey guys, I'm back with another chapter of Fate/Burning Will. I'll admit, the reason this took longer than usual to post was because I'd originally been going with the motions in a way. I only had short-term plans and a way to end the story, but not so much in between. After bouncing off some ideas with my friend though, I have a better idea on the progression of this story, so hopefully that allows chapters to come out quicker.
With that said, here's chapter 7 of Fate/Burning Will. Hope you enjoy!
--------------------------------------
Two dreams, one for each dreamer, overtook the minds of both Servant and Master.
The first was of a pink-haired man, who seemed to be laughing among a group of people that appeared to be his friends. The second was of a blonde-haired female knight kneeling atop a hill of blades and corpses, clutching her blade with regret. Both were vague and difficult to make out, but the one thing that was certain was that the subject of each dream was the Master and Servant in question respectively.
Then, they awoke.
Natsu and Saber woke with a start at about the same time, as they had both experienced odd dreams that night. No words were exchanged, as there was only a silence that filled the room and spoke volumes to the shared confusion of Master and Servant alike.
A few seconds later, Natsu's alarm went off, to which he stopped it. The dream he had woke him up before his time for doing so. Come to think of it, he never mentioned school to Saber. That was something he needed to explain, and it would get his mind off the puzzlement that resulted from last night's dream.
"Morning, Saber," the Dragon Slayer said to his Servant.
"Good morning, Natsu," she responded in kind.
Getting out of his futon, Natsu then began to explain his situation to Saber. "I forgot to tell you this yesterday, but I have to go to school. You can't come with me since you can't become a spirit, so you'll need to stay here while I'm gone," he elaborated.
"I see," she replied, nodding her head in understanding, "But, there is a chance you will be attacked if you find yourself in a situation where no one is around."
"Oh yeah, Rin said something about how there can't be anyone watching this war, right?"
"That's correct. Natsu, I know you are capable of fighting off a Servant yourself, but even so, I ask that you summon me with a Command Seal if you are in a desperate situation."
"I've already used one, though. Wouldn't that be a waste?"
"Not at all. A Command Seal is the only way to summon me since I cannot be with you, and it could save your life."
"Yeah, I get what you mean," Natsu nodded in understanding. Saber was actually allowing him to fight now, and in return, the Dragon Slayer was able to compromise with her so as to not worry her, "I'll use one if I need to."
As Natsu and Saber reached a mutual understanding, they finally began to prepare themselves for the day ahead of them. Natsu changed into his school uniform and got all his necessary belongings together, and then the two of them ate breakfast. Taiga had bought a lot of groceries last night, meaning that they were all set until she returned in that regard. As they ate, Natsu's hearing also let him listen in on the news for the day, even though he didn't pay attention to it. The subject today was something about a gas leak. That was odd. The two of them talked with one another a little, becoming more acquainted with each other's company as they went on, until the pink-haired wizard looked at the nearby clock.
