Hey guys, I'm back again for some more Fate/Burning Will. Quick thing I want to mention: The more I think about it, the more I realize I'd prefer to tackle one story at a time, and given that I have multiple stories that are ongoing... yeah, there's bound to be someone who isn't satisfied. I'm sorry about that in advance, but I think this story is very much my top priority.
There's a lot more I want to talk about but I know at least some of you have been wanting this update, so just stick around to the end of the chapter and I'll continue there. With that said, here's chapter 13 of Fate/Burning Will.
--------------------------------------
With the rain cleared, the only sounds that could be heard were the hurried footsteps of three people: Natsu - who was now carrying the unconscious Sakura - Rin, and Saber. As they got closer to the church, their footsteps slowed down, and Saber once again opted to remain outside.
However, before Natsu and Rin entered the gate, there was something that was on Rin's mind.
"Natsu," she spoke up, "You managed to defeat a Servant that easily even though your power was weakened... How is that possible?"
Saber appeared to be interested in this conversation as well. She had almost disappeared in the fight, but the fact remained that what Natsu accomplished was no small feat.
"Who said it was easy?" Natsu only questioned in response, "I was so close to dying there."
"What?" Rin asked, now perplexed.
"Well, I couldn't hit her at all, so I had to wait for her to go for a direct attack and use all the magic power I had in one shot. I managed to use almost all of my Fire Dragon King Mode's power, but even then, that was close."
"Does this mean..." Saber asked, "That you were goading Rider into using her Noble Phantasm?"
"Yep. I couldn't win otherwise. Those attacks really hurt, I was lying when I said they didn't. Good thing she took the bait, though. I could've died there!"
It was the fact that Natsu was so nonchalant about taking such a risk that really set Rin and Saber off, as if him going through with that risk wasn't bad enough.
"You absolute idiot!" Rin shouted at Natsu, now furious.
"That was your plan?!" Saber added, just as mad, "That was far too risky!"
Meanwhile, Natsu was very confused as to why they were angry. Yeah, he knew the plan was risky, but it was all he had. That's not even mentioning the fact that the plan ended up working out. In short, his befuddled expression said it all.
Rin just sighed, shaking her head. "No matter," she said, "The plan ended up working, so there's no point in dwelling on it. Come on, Natsu."
Natsu nodded, as he and Rin stepped through the gate and entered the church while Saber opted to remain outside.
--------------------------------------
"You have come to see me again today?" The voice of the priest echoed as the duo entered the church.
"Well, you're the guy to go to for stuff like this," Natsu answered, before showing him Sakura, "Sakura needs help."
"Her mana went out of control and she fell unconscious soon after," Rin elaborated.
Kirei stepped closer, examining the unconscious girl in Natsu's arms, before suddenly deciding to take her himself. This was a surprise to the Dragon Slayer, but he was quick to explain why he did this.
