What's this? I'm actually updating regularly?! Say it ain't so! Yeah, I'm finally starting to get a better schedule for this. Not only that, Winter Break is coming soon. That means I get to update more often.
Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed the prologue, and here's Chapter 1 of Fate/Burning Will.
--------------------------------------
Of all the things Taiga Fujimura had expected, treating the wounds of an unconscious pink-haired man that literally fell out of the sky was not one of them.
"Where did he come from anyway?" She couldn't help but wonder aloud, "And how did he get these kinds of injuries?"
Oddly enough, despite his right arm being burnt, it wasn't as bad of a wound as she had expected. Unbeknownst to her, this was the result of Wendy healing it enough for him to be able to use it. It would take some time for the burns to go away after treatment, but they would definitely disappear much faster than expected thanks to this healing. As for his other injuries, they covered him from head to toe as a result of his constant fighting. That wasn't even mentioning how much he was bleeding. Like his arm, they would heal in due time after she stopped it and treated him, but they really made her question how he received these to begin with.
Slowly, Natsu's eyes began to open, as he found himself in yet another new environment. This time, it was the inside of a house; he soon noticed that he was lying down on a futon as well, courtesy of the woman currently watching him and tending to his wounds.
"Looks like you're finally awake," Taiga said to the now-awake Dragon Slayer, who she had many questions for.
Shaking his head and rubbing his eyes to clear the blurriness in his vision, Natsu finally got to take in his surroundings and look at the person who had taken him in after he fell unconscious.
He had some questions of his own, and he was ready to shoot them at her.
"Who are you?! Where am I?! Where are the others?!"
"Who are you?! Where did you come from?! How did you get hurt so badly?!"
And then, silence. There was a lot of explaining that needed to be done.
"The name's Natsu," The pink-haired mage finally spoke up after a few more seconds of silence, "Natsu Dragneel. Who are you?"
"I'm Taiga Fujimura," she replied, introducing herself, "Anyways, how did you even end up here? It looked like you fell out of the sky."
"Well, you see..."
Thus began the explanation of how Natsu ended up in Fuyuki City. Despite his attempts to explain everything, especially since she seemed confused, the only response from her was an expression of pure bewilderedness. Not that anyone could blame her, of course. The kind of thing Natsu was explaining was something out of a fairy tale, even by the standards of a world where people are capable of using Magecraft.
"What's wrong?" Natsu asked as he finished, failing to understand why Taiga was so shocked.
"What do you mean 'what's wrong'?! Nothing from what you said makes any sense! How do you expect anyone to believe that?!" Taiga retorted.
Although, there was one thing Taiga took away from Natsu's explanation: He clearly had no idea where he was. Even if what he was saying was ridiculous, that much was obvious.
"You're definitely not from here at least," she reasoned, "and you look like you've got no idea where you are."
It took some time for both Natsu and Taiga to be on the same page, but eventually, they managed to do so. Taiga had figured that Natsu wasn't from around this area (even if his explanation made her wonder if he hit his head too hard) and explained that he was in Fuyuki City, a name that the Dragon Slayer had no knowledge of. Meanwhile, Natsu had realized that he was somewhere completely different. It was a completely separate world from Earthland. The first thing that told him this was the fact that although there was magic present, it was a bit different from his world.
