As I got over my shock, I scrambled out of bed and towards my backpack. I pulled out a change of clothes and ran to the bathroom to get dressed.
As I pulled the door shut I took a moment to gaze at myself in the mirror.
I still looked like me but my blonde hair that usually hangs about waist height was in a tangled bun. My blue eyes were dull and I had a new scar by my hairline from where I smacked into a branch when I was running. I looked a little worn down and sad, but all in all, it wasn't too bad.
After quickly getting dressed into a pair of blue jeans and a t-shirt, I pulled my hair down and ran my fingers through it trying to undo the knots.
A loud knock sounded against the door and I heard the beta's exasperated voice telling me to hurry up.
I huffed and gave up on trying to detangle my hair, deciding to throw it back up into a bun. Shoving my shoes on and everything else back into my backpack, I opened the bathroom door and stepped out.
"Finally. Let's go kid" the beta said snarkily as he saw me step out. He walked out of the door, stopping for a moment to make sure I was following him. I put my jacket on that was laying at the end of the bed, threw my bag over my shoulder, before jogging out of the room, following him out to meet the alpha.

He quickly led me out of the pack hospital and started heading towards a big three-story house that could be seen across the territory.
There were pups playing joyfully in the yard and wrestling around, while others bustled through the area, completing tasks and heading off to go's knows where.
Anyone who saw the beta and I walking past them looked at me quizzically before quickly averting their eyes as they hastily bowed at the beta and went on their way.
We entered the big building and the first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. There didn't seem to be anyone in the house. I looked around as the beta led me upstairs. There was a black and sterling silver kitchen to the left and what looked like a living room at the end of the hall.
He hastily led me up two flights of stairs and down a hallway that had large wooden doors at the end.
He knocked twice before a gruff "come in" was heard. The beta opened the left side door and grinned maliciously at me as he ushered me inside and closed it, leaving only me and the alpha.
"Ahh, the girl found at the boarders. Come and sit." The gruff voice said again. I glanced up and there sat a man in his late forties, sitting at a large desk littered with papers. There we two other seats sitting directly in front of the desk so I took one and sat quietly.
"Look at me girl" he demanded grumpily in his alpha tone. I tried not to flinch at his tone and hesitantly made eye contact.
He had striking blue eyes set in a steely gaze and a few tuffs of brown hair that hung in his face since his hair was disheveled. He had a slight beard growing and looked like a real-life Paul Bunyan, just more scowly and not as tall.
He ran a hand through his hair, sighing disdainfully before settling his hands together in front of him.
"I am Alpha Steven Brent of the blood brood pack. Who are you and what were you doing near our borders?" He questioned suspiciously with an eyebrow raised.
I shifted in my seat nervously as I decided on what to do. Maybe if I explain to him that I didn't mean to come here, he would just let me leave so I could make it to silver shadow.
"Um well you see, I'm Isabella Knight, and um" I began hesitantly but flinched and got cut off when he slammed his fist down to the desk.
"Spit it out, girl!" He demanded irritatedly with his eyes steeled in my direction.
