Chapter 8 - The woods

When I came to, it was pitch black outside and I was laying on the ground near the base of a tree by the border.

I gingerly sat up and groaned as my head started to pound. Slowly, the events of earlier started to come back to me, making my head pound even harder.

I can't believe that mother fucker rejected me, He has no idea what the fuck he started. I could already feel more power flowing through me, meaning his rejection unlocked more power for me to tap into just like the prophecy predicted. I wonder what else changed and what other powers I had now.

"Oh look who's finally awake," a sinister voice said snarkily through the darkness as I heard footsteps.

I looked up as the voice came closer and saw Andrew looking smug as he came to a stop, leaning back against another tree with three other boys around him. One was a redhead, one was a blonde, and one was a brunette but they all looked to be around my age or maybe a little older.

I quickly scrambled to my feet and fearfully backed up a few steps. "Where are we and what am I doing here?" I asked keeping my eyes on the group of boys.

Andrew clicked his tongue *tsk, tsk, tsk. You aren't in any position to be asking questions slut." He stated menacingly "To answer you though, we are by the border to MY pack and you, my dear mate, are here to be taught a lesson." he sneered.

As Andrew said that, he started to advance towards me with the group of boys close behind.

I swiftly turned and darted off towards the border but only made it a few feet when something slammed into me hard, knocking me into a tree.

I groaned and held my head where I hit as I quickly glanced up. I saw the brunette that came with Andrew a few feet away, smirking at me maliciously as he picked himself up off the ground.

"Nice tackle Chris" Andrew snickered approvingly before he rushed towards me.

Before I could react, he had a handful of my hair in his hands and yanked me up, roughly swinging me towards another tree before letting go.

I flew into it, making it crack loudly as it swayed. I gasped as the hit knocked the breath out of me and cracked a few ribs. I also felt one of the branches impale itself through my shoulder.

I howled in pain and tried pulling myself off of the branch but it was no use. Andrew just laughed and slowly walked over to me, a malicious grin spread across his face.

"As if I would accept someone as weak and disgusting as you. You can't fight back or even pull yourself off of this damned branch" he growled outraged. The blonde guy behind him chuckled as Andrew roughly yanked me off the branch, letting me fall to the ground.

I cried out in pain as I dropped and clutched my shoulder. Andrew stepped back a few feet and made the come at me motion with his hand. "Come on. Get up and fight back bitch, or I'm going to end you right here and now," he said angrily.

I could already feel my shoulder starting to heal thanks to my powers, though I took a second to gauge my surroundings before trying to get up. I'm only about 200 feet from the border and there are only 4 of them.

(You know we can take them. Mate or not I will not stand for anyone disrespecting us like that. We were going to leave anyway and with him rejecting us, he set everything in motion. You and I both know what we have to do now, It's time.) Serenity growled lowly before she lowered herself into an attack position and started snarling in my mind, ready to come out.

I did know what I had to do, but it didn't make it any easier. I didn't want to be exposed just yet because it would put me in danger, but these dumbasses are giving me no choice.

A small smile stretched across my face before I made myself look focused. Slowly, I picked myself up off the ground, groaning and wincing to make it seem like I was badly wounded when in reality I was already fully healed.

I dazedly stumbled towards Andrew, acting woozy, like taking all of my energy just to do so.

As I got closer, he threw back his head and laughed bitterly "if this is the best you've got then no way in hell are you fit to be my luna. You wolf-less, disgusting bitch. You shouldn't even be a werewo..." he began before his eyes went wide.

I cut him off as I lunged at him with my canines bared. I viciously bit down on his shoulder and flipped him bringing him to the ground. He howled in pain before he pushed me off of him and staggered to his feet, coming at me again.

He swung and his fist connected with my face making it snap to the side. As he went to swing again I brought my leg up and kicked him in his chest making him fly into a large tree as he howled in pain.

He picked himself up off the ground once more and lunged towards me. I felt an energy surge through me and as I rose my hands in defense. He froze in his position mid-air. As I moved my hand, he moved with it which made me smile from ear to ear. Levitation is new.

I slammed him to the flailing into the ground before bringing him back up and doing it again. I violently shook him as he clawed at me and threw him towards his friends.

His lackeys jumped back in surprise as Andrew flew into them. One of them was able to jump out of the way but the other two got sideswiped and went crashing down right along with him.

The blonde that was still standing looked at me in shock before he snarled and pounced on me.

He jumped, teeth aimed straight for my jugular but I saw what he was planning, and dodged to the left before wrapping my arm around his throat as I grabbed him out of the air.

I brought him to his knees in front of me and let go before turning and round housing him across the forest. He collided hard into a tree in front of me, and there was a loud crack as he hit. He crumpled to the ground unmoving as the tree swayed slightly. The was a visible indent in it where his body hit.

My eyes widened in surprise as I staggered back a step. I didn't know I had that kind of strength now.

"Rick!" I heard someone yell when suddenly something pounced on me from behind crushing my face into the ground. I dug my hands into the dirt and pushed it off of me, swiftly getting to my feet.

Andrew jumped on me again bringing me down with him on top of me wailing at my face. I managed to block a few hits before I twisted my body enough to flip him over. I punched him in the face as hard as I could making his head slam to the left.

Just as I was about to hit him again though someone grabbed me from behind and threw me off of him into a tree. I groaned and shakily got to me feet, my wounds were already healing but my body was so sore.

I heard cracking and quickly spun around. Andrew and the two goons that were left conscious had shifted and were in front of me baring their teeth.

"Oh! That's how we're going to play it huh? I thought you were a big bad alpha now Andy yet you need to shift to take down a 'wolf-less, disgusting bitch.' I said I using air quotes mockingly as I used his own words against him. He growled loudly and snapped his teeth at me which made me laugh bitterly.

"What? Does someone not like his new nickname? Oh poor andy" I said taunting him. As I slowly backed up a few steps.

Andrew growled louder making the trees shake slightly. I rolled my eyes "well tough, unless you're going to do something about it" I said as a smug from stretched across my face.

(Ready Rin?) I asked as I took another few steps back, bracing myself. It's been a while since I've shifted.

(Oh I've been ready since we stepped foot in this god damn pack. Let's show them who they fucked with.) she responded snarling menacingly.
