The bell rang out all over the school. Last night was eventful. Elijah wasn't going to be coming to school for about a week so he could recover.

Elijah was allowed to stay in his house. They don't want Elijah to stay alone just in case he does something to himself. So, his mom allowed Ethan to come stay with Elijah for a little while.

We all decided to go to his house after school to help him recover. He's going to an online therapist every Tuesday and Thursday. I left science to go to my locker. Alex soon came over.

"Ugh. My dad said he's going to send me to a private college," Alex complained as he leaned on the locker next to mine.

"Isn't your dad rich or something? I'm surprised you've been in public school this long." I joked. Alex's dad owns a huge company and is basically rich. He's very strict. When I first met Alex, he was barely allowed to leave the house.

"Dad finally let me leave the castle! It's so great out here!" The prince exclaimed to Sub. Sub's smile grew wider.

Because of his dad, he's had a lot of fake friends. He trusts us though. I would never use him and I doubt Sub or Elijah would.

We finished getting our stuff and went down the stairs. There are three floors to our school. Sub's locker is on the second. We met up with him at his locker. He looks worried and excited at the same time. He and Elijah are like brothers. We all start walking to Elijah's house. Alex and I both have cars but I like walking. The fresh air is nice.

We reach Elijah's house and go up to the door. I was about to knock but Sub just opened the door and walked in. There was a movie on the TV. I walked up to the couch. Elijah was lying on the couch with his blanket, sound asleep. I heard someone come into the room and turned around.

Ethan stared at us all. He ran up to Sub first. They both hugged for a few minutes before Ethan turned to Alex and me. Ethan left before Elijah was our friend.

"Oh! You must be Ethan! I'm Alex and this is Denis!" Alex cheered. I waved and smiled.

"Well nice to meet you! Let's go to the other room so we don't wake up Elijah. I've been trying to get him to sleep all day." Ethan laughed. We all went into the kitchen.

"Uhm. Ethan, can I talk to you? Alone." Sub mumbled. Ethan nodded and the two left the room. I brushed it off and sat at the table. I looked around the room. I've never really been to Elijah's house. I guess he was always trying to avoid being home because of his dad.

Sub and Ethan came back a few minutes later. They both looked a bit teary-eyed. I decided not to question it since it has nothing to do with me.

We all sat and talked for a while. Alex and I got to know Ethan a bit more. He and Elijah were apparently very close before their parents split. They tried to stay in touch but their dad would've let Elijah use any devices. According to Elijah, when he did have a phone he tried to call the police, but his dad stopped him.

Elijah told Ethan a lot of what their dad did. Elijah is terrified of going to bed because his dad raped him in his sleep a few times. If Elijah fought back he would be either locked in the basement until he apologized or beaten. All of it made me want to cry. Not to mention the drugs he was forced to take that prevented him from feeling other emotions.

Sub seemed a little off. When Ethan brought up the physical abuse Elijah had been through, Sub would turn away or not pay attention.

Alex left to go to the bathroom and Ethan went to check on Elijah giving me a chance to talk to Sub.
