'May your adventures bring you closer together,

even as they take you far away from home'

We got to the decline of a hill. Sub turned to Sketch.

"I dare you to do cartwheels down the hill," Sub demanded. Sketch sighed and stepped forward.

"This isn't gonna end well," Alex mumbled. Then Sketch started down the hill, he eventually made it to the bottom but couldn't stop. He crashed into a tree and laid on the ground.

Sub laughed. I shoved him and he rolled down the hill, running into Sketch. Alex stepped away from me a little. I chuckled and rolled down the hill myself. I made sure to stop so I didn't run into Sub and Elijah. Alex came rolling down the hill as well. He stopped and jumped up.

"I love this!" Alex cheered. His bottom arms stretched out and his top two stretched above his head. Sub and Sketch were now standing and we continued.

Apparently, there is someone who can help us in Cido. Which I learned is one of the four kingdoms. Kitition was the most powerful because of Alex and his father. They were both Lilibiths. Lilibiths are the most powerful beings in this world.

I also learned that living dolls were only in Kitition and Shapholan. They are treated well in Kitition. Everywhere else they were treated like objects. Sketch wasn't looking forward to going to Cido. He said at any moment someone could do something to him and he couldn't do anything.

Sub was also nervous. Alex's dad will probably tell the other kingdoms about Sub's execution. We all decided to be as low key as possible. We came across an abandoned cart. There were empty crates in the back of it. There was a horse still attached to it. How covenant. There was a sign on it that said free. Alex sat at the front. Sketch went up to the crates. He looked over them. He got into one and crunched up.

"What if I stayed in here? I'm light. Someone can carry me in here so nothing happens." Sketch suggested.

"Sounds like a plan!" I called. Sketch got back into the crate and Sub put the lid on. He lightly nailed it on so we could get it off. Sub sat in the crate hiding his face. I got in the front with Alex. We both sat there for a few seconds.

"Sooo, who's gonna drive or-" I stuttered.

"I don't know how to," Alex mumbled.

"Well, neither do I," I said. We both turned to Sub. He shook his head. I heard Sketch groan from inside the crate. I picked up the lead for the horse and gulped.

"Everyone hold on. I don't know what I'm doing." I called. Sub grabbed the crate Sketch was in and Alex held onto the cart. I moved the lead and the horse lifted its head. It started walking forward slowly. I moved the lead again and the horse went a bit faster. We started making our way to Cido.

I saw people and houses in the distance. Alex piped up. He turned to Sub and got his attention.

"I'm so excited! I've never been out of the castle," Alex cheered. Once we got close enough, I pulled the lead back, making the horse stop. Alex and I jumped off the crate while Sub pulled the crate to the end. He pushed it over the edge and the crate fell to the ground.

"OW!" Sketch yelled from inside the crate.

"Oh, you're fine!" Sub joked and jumped down. I bent down and picked up the crate. It was lighter than I thought, making me stumble back a bit. Alex started walking towards the town. Sub and I followed.

"Is that a prince?"

"I think. He's a Lilibith!"

"Where's the king? The knights?"
"Who's with him?"

We walked down the dirt roads. People stared and pointed. It made me anxious. Alex kept turning around, looking at all the shops. We made our way to a busier part of the town. We had to dodge people and horses. Alex got a bit farther ahead because people moved out of the way for him. Sub shoved his way up to Alex. Being here without knights or protection was dangerous for Alex. I got lost in the crowd and tried my best to keep the others in my view.

Someone bumped into me and the crate slipped from my hand. The lid broke open and Sketch fell out. People looked over at us. Some started whispering amongst themselves. I bent down to grab Sketch, but someone beat me to it.

"Hm. How much ya selling this for?" The woman asked, holding Sketch's arm. Sketch kept trying to pry the woman's hand away.

"I'm not selling him! He's my friend!" I yelled. The woman looked at me confused. She turned back to Sketch and started looking over him. She grabbed his jaw and looked at his face. He clearly looked very uncomfortable despite having a smile on his face. I grabbed the woman's arm.

"I said. I'm. not. selling. him." I said. The woman scoffed and shoved Sketch to the ground.

"You could've made a lot of money from that doll. People will buy them for thousands." The woman left and I picked up Sketch. I ran through the crowd and caught up with Alex and Sub. They turned to us confused.

"What happened?" Sub asked. Sketch got out of my hands and curled up on the floor. I felt bad. That woman was treating him like an object. She was touching and grabbing him. I sighed, kneeled down next to Sketch, and rubbed his back. The others looked at me.

"The crate fell and broke open. Some dumb woman grabbed Sketch and kept asking how much I was selling him for. After I said that I wasn't selling him, she kept touching and asking." I explained. Alex and Sub's expression changed. Alex's changed to anger and Sub's changed to sadness. Sketch suddenly stood up. He took a deep breath.

"Let's keep going!" He cheered. I was a bit concerned. He was still so happy and cheerful despite what just happened.

We kept walking until Alex gasped and ran to a house.

"This is it!" Alex yelled. We went up to the house. Alex swung the door open and went inside. The house was a bit small.

"Hello?" Sub called. We heard shuffling from upstairs. Soon a boy that looked around Sub and Sketch's age came down the stairs. He gasped and ran up to us.

"Hi! How can I help you?" He said bowing to Alex. He had a dark blue robe on. His hair had streaks. The streaks changed from red to blue. The tips of his hands had the same changing colors. He had feathery, light blue wings on his back.

"We need help getting our friend back to his world," Sub explained. The boy raised an eyebrow. He pointed to me. I nodded.

"What world are you from?" The boy asked.

"Earth? I don't know if it has a different name here." I mumbled.

"Earth? Why would you want to go back there? Everyone hides things in that world. Here, everything is more clear." The boy exclaimed.

"I belong there. Not here." I said. The boy nodded and turned to a bunch of shelves. He went through them and took a few out.

"Well. You're in luck, my friend! I have just enough to find the portal!" The boy cheered. I smiled. He took out a glass bottle and mixed the ingredients together. The liquid turned green and the boy smiled.

"C'mon! We got a lot of walking to do!" The boy walked over to a backpack, put it on his back, and went out of the house. We all followed him and started walking.
