The skies were grey, clouds were present and a slight drizzle was occurring. The weather was gloomy, unlike the moods of Y/N and Taehyung. After all, it was their first official date.He didn't tell her where they were going and just told her to meet him at 'Déjà Brew'. She was confused but happy beyond reason. He was nervous, wondering if she won't like the first date.
She came out of the shower, wrapped in nothing but a towel. She went to her wardrobe, picked out a white sweater with a black overall dress and removed the towel from her body, proceeding to dress like a queen for him. His queen.
He swayed his body to the music while applying some shaving cream on his face, grabbing a blade and removing his tiny facial hair. He dried his hair after a long, soothing bath and took out his favourite shirt which he only wore for special occasions. He put on a pair of jeans, smoothening some parts of it. He combed his hair and ruffled them, starting again to make a certain hairstyle. He wanted to be dressed ethereal for her, like a king. Her king.
"Oh my god, have you never put makeup before?" Her best friend screamed on the other side of the screen. Not being a big fan of makeup, she usually just put some foundation and mascara along with her lip gloss to school. That's it.
"I'm trying, alright?"
"Pfft! Try harder!"
She picked up a makeup brush and applied some blush on her cheeks, giving them a rosy look. A nice black eyeliner, was enough to compete her look. She tried putting it on, hoping to god that it wouldn't mess up.
It was pretty good, not as perfect as Rachael's but good enough for her. "I wish I was there because it's your first date with your first love. But I had to go to Jimin's granny's house. She has not been feeling well these days, you know? Jimin is worried but I'm trying my best to cheer him up. He is overthinking too much." Rachael said, with a dwell of panic in her voice.
"It's fine. I can do it. His granny's health is more important than my date. Take care of him....and of course his granny."
"Yeah, but let's not spoil the mood, eh? Stand up. I wanna see how you look."
She obeyed her best friend's commands, chuckling at her childishness. She stood up from the chair of her vanity table, fixing her laptop in such a way so that the camera was right in front of her body.
"You look amazing!" Her friend exclaimed, grabbing a Polaroid camera from somewhere around the couch she was sitting on. She pressed the button and a small, little Polaroid came out of the camera and she shook the photo a bit.
"Oh, come on, why are you clicking from the other side of the screen. I'll send you mine and Tae's pictures later." She whined at her best friend, feeling perplexed about why was she clicking pictures like that.
"It's for memories. I'm gonna name this Polaroid, 'Potato's first date'. Oh wait, no! 'Potaetoe's first date'."
" 'Potaetoe's'? Really?" She grinned at her cute but dumb creativity. Rachael just nodded in response and wrote whatever she thought suited best on her friend's picture with a black, bold marker.
After hearing a 'Done!' from Rachael she said bye to her and went downstairs. She put on her knee- length black boots and grabbed a coat and stood at the threshold of her house.
"Don't panic, Y/N. It's just a date. A normal date with a dashing, kind, funny, amazing, handsome, beautiful, pretty, adorable, cute, tall and intelligent guy. Of course, you can nail it. You're a bad bitch." She motivated herself with words of wisdom as she stepped out of her house, taking a deep breath and starting to walk towards 'Déjà brew'.
