Y/N'S P.O.V
The adrenaline floods my system like it's on an intravenous drip - right into my blood at full pelt. I think my heart will explode and my eyes are wide, letting in every ounce of the fading light. My body wants to either run fast for the forest near the cabin or just tell them I can't do it, but instead I stay right where I am. Sometimes freezing is the best of the choices, and let's face it, there really are only three. I want to quell the hammering in my chest, but there's no way that will happen now. I don't regret it though, coming here to find Serena's abductor, it was my mission after all.
My adrenaline surges so fast I almost vomit, I can taste the saliva thickening my mouth to a rancid paste. Jungkook's next words silenced my thoughts.
"Come on, let's do it." He commands and everyone gulps nervously. "Place your fingers right here at the planchette." Jungkook beckons. "Good."
"Is there any spirit present here?" Jungkook asks. No actions. He takes heavy breaths and starts again. "Is there anyone present here?" Again, nothing. I feel Rachael's feet shaking under the table and I look towards her with a concerned look. Jungkook was about to open his mouth until the planchette moved right towards the top at 'YES'.
Colour drained from Cole's face, as white as a slice of bread, white as a ghost, white as a sheet and I remained rooted to the spot. "Don't move it." Taehyung whispered. "I'm not." Jungkook muttered. "Neither am I." I said. "Me too." Rachel mumbled. "Me three." Cole said in a hushed voice.
"If you are really here, give us a sign. Anything." Jungkook demanded. Nothing happened for a few seconds someone knocked on the door. "Who's there at the door?" I asked. "Should we check?" Rachael questioned. "Don't. You. Guys. Dare. Get. Up." Jungkook stated boldly.
"What's your name?" I asked. The planchette moved and we eventually got to know that the spirit's name was Avesa.
The door started banging so loudly that it felt like it would open any second, but it didn't. It suddenly stopped, I looked towards the door and I felt the planchette move underneath my fingers. Our concentration was on the planchette as it gently moved around the letters 'Y', 'O', 'U', 'N', 'E', 'E', 'D', 'T', 'O', 'L', 'E', 'A', 'V' and 'E'.
"You need to leave?" Cole recited. "But why?"
"May we ask why?" Jungkook said. The planchette moved again and the sentence we obtained was ' This cabin is dangerous'. "We need your help. We need to remove the dybbuk from Clyde's body. We can't do it alone. We aren't experienced at all. So, are you willing to help us?" Jungkook pleaded. The planchette moved and landed on 'YES'. "Thank you. But, can you be a danger to us in any way?" Cole said and the planchette started moving rapidly on the whole ouija board. My hands trembled and my eyes watered as I tightened my fingers on the planchette. Something was wrong here and it was anything but good. My body felt hot and sweat started trickling down my neck. I grip it tightly as it slightly slows down a bit. With every move the planchette makes, I get more and more terrified. My breath quickened as it landed again on 'YES'. Once more.
"What the heck is happening Jungkook?" Taehyung asked in a trembling voice. "Jungkook, I'm scared. What do we do?" I asked and Taehyung used his other hand and intertwined it with mine. But before he could say anything Rachael's chair started shaking as she held on the table for support.
"DO SOMETHING!" Cole screamed as Rachael thumped her forehead on the table and froze. "I uh we w-we need to say goodbye. Instantly." Jungkook stuttered as he told us what to do. Rachael lifted her head up, manifesting many red marks on her face.
"Move the planchette towards GOODBYE on the count of three, together. Okay, 3, 2, 1. Move." Jungkook commanded. We were about to move it but Rachael grabbed the board. "What are you doing Rachael? Leave it!" Taehyung screeched.
