Chapter 6

All of the Polaroids had something at the back of it. Each Polaroid had '€↳ⓢ'symbol."What the he-?"just as I was about to finish my sentence a few voices could be heard from downstairs.

Taehyung started putting the files in the drawer and kept the polaroids in his pocket hastily. Suddenly he pulled me by my arm and grabbed me by my waist.

I gasped at the sudden action and he mouthed "I think it's my dad. I guess his shift may have ended early or he must've forgotten to grab something."

He placed his large hand on my mouth and dragged me towards a door which I didn't notice at first. He opened and bolted it shut.

He pushed me and my back hit the wall. It was rather a small room. Really small. He was really close that I could smell him. He smelt like soap, vanilla and a bit of his cologne.

I could feel his breath on my forehead. "Stay quiet."he whispered. Footsteps of someone and muffling of things could still be heard.

After a minute I sighed in relief when the sound of footsteps died down and the door got closed with a loud thud. Taehyung removed his hands from my mouth and waist.

He started staring at me with an unreadable expression. I also got lost in his eyes and it felt like we stared at each other forever.

Taehyung's phone chimed abruptly and I removed my gaze from his and started looking at my shoes awkwardly instead. "It's a text from Cole. He's asking when we'd come back."said Taehyung while looking at his phone.

"I think we should go and show them the polaroids." I replied and reached for the door. He nodded in approval and shut the door behind him as we both exited it.

We reached at the rendezvous Cole texted us which turned out to be his house. We knocked at the door and Jimin's cute face greeted us and we entered the black and white house.

Everyone wore an expression of eagerness and we sat down on the leather couch which had the photo frame of Cole's family on a small wooden table beside it.

Cole, Serena, Mr. and Mrs.Stein grinning at the camera on a beautiful sunny day at the beach. Mr. and Mrs.Stein both died in a car accident 3 years ago.

Cole was the older one so of course he had the whole responsibility of taking his and Serena's care. They both were really good siblings and never fought or argued with each other like other siblings do.

Serena was the only family he had left and she was gone too. He wasn't on good terms with his relatives and couldn't ask them for help. The Stein's were pretty rich so Cole didn't have to worry much about money.

He still worked at some place as a part-time job and earned a good amount of money. "So umm we found these Polaroids in Serena's file and they have really bizarre symbols at the back of them." Taehyung's deep voice interrupted me from my thoughts.

I prepared myself to listen about their opinions on this. "Why are these photos taken at such irregular times?"questioned Jungkook.

"Was someone stalking my sister?"asked Cole lamentably. "Seems like it."I said and picked up a Polaroid. "What if they have some meaning behind them?"said Racheal as she traced the symbols with her fingers.

Thank you Rachael for stating the obvious. I gave her a 'seriously' look and she immediately shut up. "Do you guys have anyone in mind?"asked Taehyung.

"Erm...guys I'm sorry but I gotta go. My mum just texted that my grandpa tripped from the stairs and I need to rush to the hospital."said Jimin warily.

All eyes were on him until Taehyung spoke "Uhh okay Jimin I think you should go. We'll do this and tell you later." Jimin smiled at us (winked at Rachael) and rushed out of the house.

Rachael giggled in the most girliest voice I've ever heard.
"Taehyung I think you should ask your dad about this."advised Cole. "Yes I will."reassured Taehyung.
