Loki and Astrid headed back to their chambers before heading to Midgard. All Loki got was filthy glares from the Asgardians, he didn't seem to care though. Astrid was pretty excited considering she's never been before. Loki on the other hand, not so much. Loki noticed Astrid didn't look too well though, he thought it might had been to do with her using too much power to try and stop Mjolnir. He suggested that she stayed behind but she wasn't having any of it, she was convinced she was going. He told her to have a quick check up with Eir at the very least, which she accepted.

She was sat in the healers room as she was awaiting her results growing anxious. She thought she was just drained but Eir knew there was something more.

"I must congratulate you Lady Astrid. For you are with child." Astrid wasn't sure if she was hearing right. I mean sure her and Loki have had sex plenty of times before but she didn't think she would ever get pregnant. To be honest she never had 'the talk' with her mother and she was too embarrassed to ask any of the maids back home. Eir looked at Astrid and could see she wasn't exactly happy at the news.

"Are you not happy, my lady?" Astrid popped her head up at Eir.

"Oh no it's not that. I'm extremely happy it's just that..." Eir walked over and put her hand on Astrid's shoulder. "...How do you think Loki will react?"

"Loki has always been a quiet one. Always hides himself in a shell. But no one knows him better than you Astrid. Even though he acts tough. I think he will be overjoyed about finally starting a family with you. Besides he asked you to marry him didn't he?" She looked to Eir shocked that she knew that.

"How did you know?"

"Don't think I haven't noticed the ring. It's gorgeous. Besides, I've known for a little while now that Loki was alive." She looked down at her hand with her ring on her finger.

"Thank you, Eir. I don't know what I'd do without you." She hugged Eir, after all she was like a mother to her. She had looked after her well, especially since Frigga wasn't there any longer to do it. "Please, do you think we can keep this between us?"

"Your secret is safe with me child."

"What took you so long?" Thor had been growing impatient while him and Loki were waiting for Astrid at the Bifrost.

"Sorry, Eir was helping me find suitable clothing for Midgard." Thor simply shrugged it off and walked towards the portal gates.

"Later on I wouldn't mind ripping those Midgardian clothes off you." Loki whispered in her ear seductively, but apparently not quiet enough. They both looked at Thor who seemed disgusted.

"What in the nine realms has happened to you brother..." Astrid laughed at the two before all of them were sent through the portal to Manhattan.

They landed a few blocks from where Odin was as Astrid looked around amazed by the view.

"Wow." Was her first reaction to this realm.

"You like what you see?" Thor brought her out of her trance.

"It's definitely different. But amazing. Loki how come you've never brought me here before?"

"Really?" Loki replied. Had she really forgotten the reason why he hadn't.

"Oh right, sorry." Loki just smiled at her.

"Don't get too used to it. We won't be coming back again." Loki started leading Thor and Astrid to Odin as her face saddened slightly, but she understood why. She ran up to walk beside Loki as Thor trailed behind. It seemed like something was bothering him too.
