"Allfather we must speak with you!" Sif and the warriors three come rushing in but as they raise their heads, they stop short to see Loki sitting sprawled upon his father's throne. He wears his horned ceremonial headdress and holds gungnir in his hand. Sif and the others look up, shocked at the sight before them. At the side of him stands Astrid, Loki had called her to the throne room to discuss matters and she had arrived not long before the others. Loki had explained what happened in the vault yesterday, he revealed that he too was a frost giant. Loki was worried about telling Astrid in case it scared her, but she accepted him for it and promised to stay by his side.

"What is this?" Volstagg spat.

"My friends... you haven't heard? I am now ruler of Asgard." Loki stands from his throne. He hadn't yet told them that Astrid would rule with him. First he wanted to get rid of Frey and he wanted to make him feel pain. He wanted to hurt him so much that Frey would wish for death, for everything he had done to Astrid. She didn't deserve any of it.

"Where's Odin?" Fandral looked between the two who stood before him.

"Father's fallen into the Odinsleep. My mother fears he may never awaken." Astrid places a hand on Loki's shoulder to calm him.

"We would speak with her." Sif and the Warriors three exchange a look but Loki notices.

"She has refused to leave my father's bedside. You can bring your urgent matter to me, your King." Loki spat at them. He was getting more angry with their reaction.

"We would ask you to end Thor's banishment" Sif asked with hope.

"My first command can not be to undo the Allfather's last. We're on the brink of war with Jotunheim. Our people must have a sense of continuity in order to feel safe in these difficult times." Sif and the Warriors Three trade looks not liking any of this. "All of us must stand together, for the good of Asgard."

"Of course." Sif and the Warriors Three bow their heads and get up to leave. But Loki wants one last favour.

"Oh and one last thing." They all stop to turn toward him. "Bring me King Frey. Ensure that you deliver him personally." They stare at Loki confused and Astrid's breath quickened, but they simply nod their heads and leave.

"Loki, maybe this isn't a good idea, I have a bad feeling about this." Astrid starts trembling at the sound of her fathers name.

"Hush my darling. Everything will be okay, I am here with you." She looks up into Loki's eyes, she knows that she can trust him but she didn't trust her father. She was unsure of what his reaction would be and she dread to find out. No one found out what he had been doing to her and with her telling Loki, she feared if her father ever got ahold of her again he would kill her.

"I will never let him lay a finger on you ever again." It wasn't just that she was worried about. She couldn't help but worry about what this would do between the two realms.

"My Prince... oh excuse my rudeness, I should say my King, and my darling daughter." Loki turned to the doors to see Frey standing before him. He didn't know what was coming. For all he knew Loki and Astrid were about to announce an engagement. But as he looked closer, he could see the fear in his daughters eyes and the hatred in Loki's. Only then, Frey knew something wasn't right. As he looked behind him he noticed he was surrounded by the guards pointing their weapons at him.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Frey raised his voice making Astrid jump.

"Silence!" Loki walked down the steps toward Frey. He wanted to kill him there and then. But he wanted to respect Astrid's wish to not harm him. After all... he is still her father.

"Kneel." Frey couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was confused. Why would a king have to kneel before this so-called king who stood before him?

"I said kneel!" Loki screamed at him. The guards took a step closer to Frey for disobeying their King. Frey hesitated, but he soon obeyed Loki after realising he wouldn't win this battle.

"Princess Astrid, from now on will stay by my side to rule Asgard..." all Loki could do is glare at Frey.

"Well... that certainly is great news, my lord." Frey spat sounding venomous.

"...Asgard and Vanaheim will no longer be United. Meaning once Astrid is Queen, you will no longer have a say in Asgard's actions, you will no longer have our help with your wars and you will no longer have your daughter to humiliate. Like you had been doing all these years." Loki has never felt so powerful before. He loved this feeling. Frey looked across the room at his daughter, he was disgusted at her. She felt his cold stare and fidgeted in her spot feeling uncomfortable. Loki noticed it and strikes gungnir on the ground in front of Frey bringing his attention back up to him.

"You no longer have the right to even look at her... Now, you will have the guard's escort you back to the Bifrost immediately, there Heimdall will send you back to Vanaheim." Frey is so angry you can see him turning red, Loki only smirks in amusement at him enjoying every single second of this. Frey goes to walk out with the guards escorting him when he is interrupted once more before reaching the doors.

"Oh and make sure you get everything you need." Frey turns to Loki once more. "For this is the last time you will ever step foot in Asgard."

"You will regret this... both of you." The guards bought their spears up to Frey again for that threat, and a chill ran through Astrid's body, but Loki just stood there tall and was anything but threatened by Frey's words.

"I'm sure we won't." Loki smirked. "And while you're at it, why don't you tell your people of what you have done..." Loki dropped his smirk to look more serious. "I'm sure your people will have your head after hearing what you have done to their Princess." Frey felt like this was a battle he could not win so for the last time walked out the doors. The guards had cleared out the room as Loki stood there grinning. He had never felt so powerful, but he was hungry for more. He was suddenly snapped out of his trance when he heard light footsteps running towards him. He turned to the Princess, concern still written over her face. She couldn't quite believe that it was over. There was still something at the back of her mind telling her it wasn't over for good.

"You're safe now, my love." Loki returned back to his smiley self, proud of himself for his accomplishment. He made a promise, and he kept it. Astrid had never felt so relieved, she felt like she could finally breathe again, she was free. She brought her hands to his chest and lightly kissed him.

She could finally have her life with Loki.

"Thank you, for everything."

Well, that was what she thought at least.
