It was a stormy day in National City on October 8th, Alex Danvers was on her way to pick up her 8 year old daughter Eva from school. She'd just finished some files up in the DEO and was going to head to Kara's place after with Eva as it was a regular Friday afternoon. Alex felt like today was a really weird day after she usually had to deal with lots of problems like some demand an alien had or something happen with Kara. It was just an unusually quiet day. Still she reached Evermont Creast and ran in to get her daughter.

Mrs Lipon called for Eva like everyday "Eva your mums here" and as per usual Eva would come running out and give her mum a hug.

"Hey munchkin! Oh wow you look taller already, how was your day?" Alex asked.
Eva giggled and replied "hehe thanks mum it was good. Are we going to auntie Kara's still?"
"Of course E"

The two of them quickly hopped into their little black car that Alex got after trading in her motorcycle which she ended up buying again after a month of having Eva. Eva was 6 when Alex adopted her and was being put into lots of different foster homes until Alex took her in. Since then Alex had loved Eva and she was her perfect gorgeous little daughter. Eva had long brown hair, fair skin, piercing blue eyes and a beauty spot above her mouth. Eva was small for her age but Alex liked that she could just scoop her up like a small serving of ice cream.

As the two of them pulled up to Kara's apartment, Alex parked the car and as usual raced Eva up the stairs.
"Your going to loose mummy" Eva shouted. Of course Alex let her win but she wouldn't let Eva know that.
"Oh wow you're getting so fast! You will have to start racing Auntie Kara" Eva didnt know that her aunt was supergirl she just knew Alex was friends with her. So when one day she saw Alex talking to supergirl in their home she was confused so Alex simply said she was friends with supergirl. Eva loved to tell people this.

Eva did the frozen theme tune knock on Kara's door as it was their little thing. But obviously she didn't know Kara could just see through the door with her x-ray vision.
"Eva do you want to build a snowman..Hey my little humbug!" Kara sung.
"Auntie Kara!! It's so stormy outside me and mum almost got soaked after school. And we raced again and i won again" Eva excitedly replied.
"Haha she's getting faster everyday cant believe it" Alex said while walking in.

The three of them played a few games and ate pizza until they finally sat on the sofa to finally watch a film. Eva was sitting between Alex and Kara while Alex ran her hands through her hair softly. They were watching The Parent Trap one of Eva's favourite. But Eva was clearly tired and within 15 minutes was sleeping away.
"Oh she's fallen asleep again"
"Oh Alex she's just like you you always fall asleep in front of the tv" Kara replied
"Um no i don't" Alex said after being a bit offended.
"Mhm" Kara made the you know i'm right face.
"Ugh ok maybe sometimes" Alex admitted
The two of them laughed together and had long conversation just like always.

"I kind of fancy a hot chocolate from Marvo's now" Kara randomly said.
"I'll go, feel like iv been stuck inside all day" Alex replied.
"You sure?"
"Yeh yeh if Eva wakes up tell her i'll be back soon"
"Okay i can put her in her bed and i'll see you in a bit" Kara suggested.
"Sounds good" Alex replied.

Alex shot up, grabbed her coat, zipped up her shoes and headed out to walk to Marvo's.
