Second Chance: A Sanvers Story

Eva's 9th Birthday

Finally the day had come. Eva's 9th birthday. March 14th. It was a Saturday luckily and Alex and Maggie had big plans today. They were both laying in bed and it was 7:30. Maggie was laying on top of the red head as she had fallen asleep last night at Alex's stroke of her hair.
"Mhm we should get up." Alex stroked Maggie's arm while saying this.

"I know it's just so cosy in this bed and your in it."

"I wish we could stay here forever but it's Eva's day plus we have big plans."
The brunette shot up and put her legs on both sides of Alex's body and was sitting on her lap.

"Mhm yeh your right but your just so gorgeous." Maggie went in for a kiss from her girlfriend and the two passionately kissed. Alex had put her hands on the smaller woman's face, while Maggie had put her arms around Alex's neck and while running her hands through the back of her hair.

"Mmm,mm. Nope we are getting up now." Alex promptly said. She tried to get up with Maggie still wrapped around her like a sloth. Instead she shuffled herself to the edge of the bed while Maggie didn't move positions. She even got up with her girlfriend on her.

"Gee, you don't budge." She chuckled.

"Well we both need to go to the bathroom." Maggie threw her girlfriend a wink.

"I guess we go at the same time then." Alex walked into the bathroom and shut the door while kissing the smaller woman who was still wrapped around her.

*9:00*
It was 9am the time Eva usually woke up on weekends. Both Alex and Maggie had finally showered and were ready to get Eva up. They quietly creeped upstairs into Eva's purple themed room.

"She's so gorgeous, look at her sleeping!" Alex said with a little sad lip.

"Come on let's get her up." Maggie suggested. The two walked over and got on to their daughters bed. Alex softly tapped Eva's smooth cheeks.

"E, It's time to get up." Eva suddenly awoke looking all warm and cosy. "Hey there she is Im sure you know what today is."

"It's my birthday." She replied with a croaky voice.

"Haha yes we have a big day planned starting with you getting dressed and downstairs in 20 minutes." Maggie said while stroking Eva's hair.

"I can't wait." She replied.

After exactly 21 minutes Eva came down the stairs as the two waited for her.

"I'm ready!!" she excitedly said. The little girl had picked out a burgundy red dress, a white plain t-shirt underneath, some black socks and had her flat converse on. She had got her cast of 2 days prior so she could wear her shoes again which made Eva extremely happy.

"Great your ready to go." Alex exclaimed. Currently, she was wearing a plain black jumper, blue jeans, her favourite boots and had curled her hair perfectly. Maggie took her hand and put her head on Alex's shoulder.

"Oh look how perfect you look, I just want to eat you up." She said to Eva. Maggie was wearing a black v-neck top, blue denim jeans, a black leather jacket and her hair was in a perfect ponytail.
"Well let's get in the car before we are late!" Maggie quickly suggested. She ran over to Eva taking her hand.

"Hang on where are we going?" she questioned.

"You'll see." Alex said while running behind. They all hopped in the car while Maggie drove and they all sung at the top of their lungs to Taylor Swift songs which were Eva's favourite. They finally arrived at their destination of a breakfast parlour.

"Hang on is this the place with those really yummy pancakes and big cereal bar!!" Eva said excitedly.

"Maybe.." Alex replied with a smirk. They jumped out and were taken to a special table Alex and Maggie had specifically booked which had a gorgeous vine arrangement hanging over, red leather seats and gold coloured plates. Immediately something caught Eva's eye.
