After I completed in my mission to get Kami and Tsuki together, the two were blushing profusely and trying to hide their faces. I quickly apologised for scaring them half to death when I jumped up so suddenly.

Kacchan decided to change the subject,"Soo... Why are you here Zuku?"

We all felt the sudden mood shift. "I got kicked out because some of 'his' friends were coming over and he didn't want me in the way until tomorrow evening." The two understood what I meant when I just said 'his' or 'him' or 'he'. They both knew that I was referring to Hisashi. The thing is, I don't want to mess up and say 'master' instead of 'dad', and I really don't want to call him dad either.

"Shit man, are you ok? Did he... did you get another beating?" replied Katsuki.

"Yeah, but not really bad this time, so I'm scared of what that means." To be honest I was glad to be away from him, even if it's only for a night. If I'm not home in the morning for my beating then he freaks out even worse, so I can't just skip it. But, if he specifically told me to not be there, then he can't get mad about it. However, I wasn't looking forward to going back tomorrow evening.

I could feel the tension in the room. They both wanted to question me further, but were hesitant to breach such a sensitive topic. Kami cleared his throat and spoke up, "So, um, how bad is it at home? Also when was the last time you ate? You look really thin Izu. Like, too thin." Straight to the hard questions.

I sat against the wall and pulled my knees to my chest. "Well, I get a beating every day. Once in the morning and once when I get home. And to be completely honest, I don't even remember the last time he fed me. I haven't eaten a meal in a while." I replied honestly. I only ate whatever Hisashi wouldn't notice was missing, or what Katsuki had left from lunch at school. Other than that I didn't eat much.

They were both a bit speechless at what I had told them. They looked absolutely horrified. "What would happen if the bastard found out that you told us?" asked Tsuki, his voice shaking with anger. When I didn't reply, Tsuki and Kami both looked at each other anxiously.

"I don't want to think about what might happen..."I said in a quiet whisper. Kami leaned over and hugged me tightly. I hesitated for a moment, and then reached up and hugged him back. I didn't even think about the fact that my sleeve might slip back and reveal the cuts on my wrist.

"Zuku, lift up your sleeve." Kacchan asked, his voice rising with concern.

"What? No. Why?" I asked, quickly pulling my sleeves over the cuts while trying to avoid the topic they were about to broach.

"Fucking Hell Izuku! Just do it!" he yelled.

"No!" I yelled in response.

He grabbed my wrist and pulled up my sleeve revealing scars, scabs, and fresh cuts. I tried to push him away from me, but I had already lost so I gave up without much effort. Their eyes widened at just how many marks there were on my arms."How... How long have you..."Kami couldn't finish the sentence. "Do you cut in other places other that your arms?" Tsuki asked.

"Do you want the truth or do you want a lie to make you feel better." I retorted.

"Izu, please tell us the truth. You don't have to lie to protect us or yourself, we just need to know the truth so we can help you." Kami said.

"Fine. I've been doing this for as long as I can remember, and I cut my arms and thighs." I stated bluntly. "And I know that you care about me, but I don't understand why. I mean, I'm useless. Even my name has the kanji deku in it. I don't understand why you care..." I trailed off lost in memories of Hisashi calling me useless, idiot, and every other name he'd given me over the years. I really didn't understand why they cared about me, if anyone was supposed to care about me it would be my parents, but one died and the other hates me. I'm useless, so why would anyone care about me? Hisashi has the right idea, I'm useless and everyone should hate me, so why don't they?

"You're not useless." said Tsuki in the softest tone he could manage.

"And we care about you because you're our friend." said Kami.

There were a few seconds of silence as I felt tears build up and spill down my cheeks. Kami reached over and hugged me. He ran his fingers through my hair while I buried my face in his shoulder, and drifted into a dreamless sleep.

Hi! Sorry it keeps taking so long to update, I was at my Dad's this weekend so I didn't have internet to write XD But I did get to ride my horse, so that's ok.  I can't wait to get further into the story! Also feel free to comment any misspellings, grammatical errors, or any tips for writing because I want to make the story the best it can be :) Also there was supposed to be three more paragraphs in this chapter, but I'm putting them in the next chapter because they'll work better there. Also the next chapter is pretty short, and with a short chapter I might be able to post it today or tomorrow :D And this will make the next chapter longer.

On another topic, I wrote a short story for school a while ago and I'm quite proud of it. I was thinking I might post it on wattpad or something. It's a creepy story, but if I explain what the story is about it will sound cheesy XD So to prove to you guys that it's not too cheesy I'll just tell you that my teacher told me I should enter it into a writing competition. If anyone's interested in reading it leave a comment and I'll post it! I also ended up writing a sequel, but sequels are never good when the story wasn't built to have one. The first part is serious, but the sequel is more light hearted and funny. Anyway...... Thanks for reading! Credits to  for the original version!
