I forgot to warn you guys before the sensitive topic in the last chapter... sorry. I'll warn you next time.
When I woke up I thought I was still dreaming. I was laying in a bright room on a comfortable bed. There was a soft blanket draped over me and I could feel something on my arms. I thought I was dreaming because I had never been in a place like this before. I looked down at my left arm to see a nurse replacing old bandages with new ones. I looked at my other arm and saw tubes supplying blood and fluids. As someone who cuts their arms on purpose, I was surprisingly squeamish around blood.
I shifted uncomfortably away from the nurse. She looked up from the cuts to look at my face. She smiled gently and said, "I'm sorry, did I wake you?"
I shook my head instead of replying with words.
"How are you feeling?" She asked kindly.
I shrugged my shoulders and looked away from her, not wanting to make eye contact. I could feel her smile waver. "Do you know what happened and where you are?"
I thought for a second. I tried to remember why I was here, and exactly where 'here' was. Apparently, my silence was my answer.
"Do you know your name?" she asked, probably just a part of her mandatory checkup.
I nodded yes, but I guess that wasn't a good enough answer. "Can you tell me what it is?" she asked patiently.
I didn't feel like talking to her so I just nodded yes again, still avoiding her eyes. I knew that wasn't the answer she was looking for, but I didn't really care. I was still trying to figure out why I was here. I figured I was in a hospital. I assumed the bandages were covering cuts. The only thing I didn't understand was who brought me here. It certainly wasn't Hisashi, but there wasn't anyone else in the house. I didn't remember being brought here or the moments leading up to being brought here. I assume that I cut myself, but I don't remember doing it.
The nurse opened her mouth to ask again, but I cut her off by saying, "My name is Izuku."
She seemed satisfied by the answer, even though I didn't provide a last name. She smiled and said, "You have a visitor, would you like me to send him in?"
A visitor? It's the middle of a school day. It can't be Tsuki or Kami, and if it was they would have come together. Could it be Hisashi? Who else would come alone? But why would Hisashi come to see me? He's probably just going to yell at me that I costed him a lot of money and complain that I'm useless and that I should have just finished the job and killed myself.
It was still unlikely that it was him though, he would just wait until I came 'home' to yell at me.
"Who?" I asked simply.
"I don't know their name, he has long black hair and was wearing a... unique... scarf." She replied.
Wait, what? I gave her a questioning look. I had a pretty good idea of who it was, I just didn't believe it was true.
"I'll go ahead and let him in." She walked to the door and held it open. She said a few quiet words to someone outside before letting them come in. When he was inside she left to give us some privacy, closing the door quietly behind her.
I was right. Shota Aizawa had walked into the room, and was now sitting in the chair next to the bed.
"How are you feeling problem child?" he asked, obviously avoiding the topic he wanted to discuss.
I gave him a shrug as well.
"Nurse Ito said you don't remember what happened." he stated, continuing the conversation.
Nurse Ito. It sounds kind of like Inko.
"Not really." I replied.
"Well, we came by your house as planned. We took Hisashi in for questioning. When we searched the house for you we found you in the bathroom passed out on the floor." He looked at my arm with the bandages. I looked nervously out the window.
"That was four hours ago. Its noon now."
Wow. I've been out for that long? How long was it before they found me? If they hadn't found me that soon I probably would have died.
"If we didn't find you when we did..." Did he just read my mind?
"We haven't told your friends yet. They've probably noticed that you didn't show up to school though." He said, trying to change the subject.
I was pretty sure that he had something else to talk about, but was afraid to bring it up.
We both sat in a sort of awkward silence. I didn't have much to say, so I waited for him to start a new conversation.
"I have some news about your father." I nearly choked. I knew there was something he wanted to talk about, but I wasn't prepared for that.
"And?" I asked impatiently.
"I think...I think it's me."
...
"What?"
"Izuku, I think I'm your father."

HI! I was going to make this chapter longer, but...I decided it would be better as a short chapter instead of adding onto it. Also, it's been a while since I last updated because I had a bunch of school work. I will get the hang of this, I promise XD. Anyway, I hope you liked the chapter!!!
