Nico POV

The trip from Italy to America was long, and quite frankly, annoying.

Hades had gotten first class tickets for them, but all the snobs up there kept trying to make conversation with him. He did not want to do that.

Learning English hadn't been easy either. It was complicated and stupid. At least that's what Nico said. The tutor his dad had gotten for him was nice enough, but he insisted he practiced English every single hour of every single day.

And when they finally got to the house they were staying in, Nico mentally face-palmed. Of course their new house just had to be at the top of Mansion Lane. That was not an exaggeration, as all the houses in the new neighborhood looked like modern mansions. Nico's house was at the end of the street, and was by far the biggest. It was black and white, with a bit of gold and silver highlights. It was modern and had at least four stories. And that was a bit excessive considering only the two of them lived there.

"Papa', sapevo che eri drammatico, ma questo e' un po 'troppo. Anche per te, (Dad, I knew you were dramatic, but this is a bit much. Even for you,)" Nico sighed, standing in front of the massive house.

"First, practice your English, Nico. Second, I know, but don't forget Hazel is going to be living here too. Along with some live-in cooks and staff," Hades told his son, his accent heavy. But Nico knew that his father was fluent in many languages, and could easily switch from one to another.

Nico took a second to decipher what his father had said, and nodded. The two of them walked into the furnished house while some staff carried in their luggage.

"Which room is mine?" Nico tried, wincing at his own terrible pronunciation.

"Just follow Alecto. You can unpack if you wish, I will be setting up my office," Hades answered.

Nico then did as he was told, beginning his new life in America.

Will POV

Will sighed heavily as he gathered his things from his locker. Mondays were by far the worst thing ever, and you couldn't tell him otherwise.

"What are you huffing and puffing about?" Lou Ellen, one of his best friends, asked walking up to him. Cecil followed close behind.

"It's only Monday and Mr. Gavin already gave us a test! I mean, come on, we just got back from spring break!" Will whined, shouldering his backpack.

"Oh, you're such a baby. Math isn't that hard. And the quiz had, like, ten questions," Lou said.

"I still think that's ten questions too many," Cecil muttered under his breath, causing Lou to elbow him in the gut.

"Nevermind," Will said, heading down a separate hallway. "I've got to drive my siblings home today."

The other two nodded and headed there separate ways.

"So, how was school?" Will's mom, Naomi asked as she set spaghetti infront of her children.

"Alright. Archery tryouts for the spring season start next week. Thalia's going down." Kayla, Will's 14 year-old half-sister said fiercely.

"It was good. There's a band concert in about three weeks," Austin, Will's 13 year-old brother stated happily.

"It was fine, but Mr. Gavin already gave us a quiz!" Will complained, shoving down a mouthful of spaghetti.

"You're so dramatic, Will," Apollo, their father chuckled. Out of his siblings he looked the most like his dad. Tall, sunkissed tan, golden blonde hair, and sky blue eyes. Though, he did get his freckles from his mother. Kayla seemed to look more like her biological mom, though her hair was dyed green at the tips. And of course, Austin was adopted, having his black hair in braids and his chocolaty skin matching his eyes .

Will gasped excessively, placing a hand on his chest. "Am not! I'm just making sure I don't learn too much, 'cause if I do, there is no hope for the rest of the world," he said, dead serious, but his siblings burst out laughing while his father chuckled.

"Well, settle down everyone," Naomi said, "I have some news. So, first, Kayla, do you remember Hazel? Hazel Levesque?"

"Uh, yeah. She was a nice, awesome artist," Kayla replied.

"Well, apparently, she had a half-brother who lived with their father in Venice, Italy. And now they came to live here and her brother is now attending your school," Naomi said.

"How come?" Will asked, taking another mouthful of spaghetti.

"Well, they didn't specifically mention it in the email, so I assume it's either personal or just doesn't matter. Either way, it might be a sensitive subject so just don't bring it up unless they say it okay, alright?" Naomi told her children.

"Alright, Mama. What grade is her brother in?" Will asked.

"Actually, he's in your grade, Will. So be nice to him. Maybe you'll make a friend," His mother smiled warmly.

"Cool!" Will grinned, "Well, I'm stuffed. Well-that's a lie. I could really go for some peach cobbler," Will laughed, wiggling his eyebrows and picking up his empty bowl of pasta to put it in the sink.

His siblings laughed and nodded in agreement. "Alright, alright. You guys clean up the table and I'll get it out, okay?"

"Yes! That stuff is the best!" Austin exclaimed, fist-pumping the air. The children cleared the table as their mother headed back into the kitchen.

"So what do you think Hazel's brother will be like?" Austin asked.

"I dunno. Probably like his sister. She's so sweet and bright and just full of energy. He might be like that, but just, I dunno, Italian?" Kayla answered.

"C'mon guys. We don't even know his name. For all we know he could be the exact opposite of Hazel. Like, dark and gloomy. Skull t-shirts and black skinny jeans," Will joked.

"Right," Kayla said, drawing out the vowel to add to her everlasting sarcasm. "Fat chance, and to be honest Will, you just described your typical emo boy."

Will rolled his eyes. "Well, know that all the dishes are put up, don't mind me as I take the biggest slice of peach cobbler!" he chuckled evilly, making a mad dash for the kitchen.

"Will! Get back here!" Kayla laughed as the siblings raced to get to the dessert first.
