Sequel to 'DANCE'
Damian led Marinette outside and onto the terrace when he heard the call for ten minutes.
Marinette smiled as she took a seat on the bench. Damian took off his suit jacket and placed it around her shoulders.
"I thought a nice view was in order." He stated.
Marinette smiled and looked up at the sky, in anticipation.
"Have you been enjoying your stay in Gotham?" Damian asked.
"I have." Marinette answered, "I found a nice café a couple blocks away from the hotel. It has some nice coffee in the mornings. I grab tea and panini's at lunch time."
"When you remember to go?" Damian teased.
"Maybe." Mari whispered.
"I wish I had been able to spend more time with you. I invited you to Gotham." Damian began.
"Dami, I know your family is busy. Especially since it's been getting ready for all of this." Marinette interjected, "Besides, I've been using all this time to make my dress, without worry, and design some more."
"You look absolutely gorgeous, Angel." the young Wayne commented, "Someone would have swept you away, had you not walked in on my arm."
"I wouldn't have had it any other way." she smiled.
"Marinette, I-" he started.
BOOM
The couple turned their heads to see a large gold firework in the sky. This time they heard the pitched whistle and watched the blue firework explode.
Damian turned to see his girlfriend's eyes light up in wonder.
"Marinette" he spoke, gaining her attention, "May I kiss you?"
Marinette nodded and leaned towards Damian, as the fireworks popped off in the background. As she felt her lips touched Damian's, she couldn't help but think hat this was the perfect way to start the new year.
