Marinette smiled as she walked around the Paris Fashion Week after party. Adrien made sure to keep her by his side, placing his arm around her waist, not to lose sight of her. It didn't take long for Gabriel to notice his son wasn't showing off the Agreste brand, when he had people coming up to his asking him about his son's wonderful date.
Gabriel went up to his son and his date, asking them to follow him into an alcove.
"What is going on?" he questioned, "Why aren't you talking to other people or socializing? You're the face of Gabriel and instead you attached to this girl?"
Adrien opened his mouth to answer, but he didn't get the chance. Gabriel swung his gaze onto Marinette.
"How did you even get in?" the fashion designer questioned, "This party is for the elite and I know Adrien didn't have an extra ticket."
Marinette glared at her old idol. After getting closer to Adrien, she learned what a jerk his father truly was. She quickly threw out her Gabriel magazine. It didn't mean she wasn't keeping an eye on his line; she had to keep an eye on her competition.
"You're forcing my son to wallow beneath the Agreste name and I won't stand for it." Gabriel decreed.
Marinette's phone chimed and drew her attention away from the designer.
Mari smiled, "Thank you, Adrien, for spending time with me, but my date has finally arrived." walking out of the alcove without another word.
Gabriel turned his gaze back onto his son and ordered him, "Go socialize and make sure to represent the company well."
Adrien nodded his head. Gabriel didn't bother looking for Marinette, as the went back into the party. It's not as if she mattered in the slightest.
Gabriel Agreste was quick to notice Bruce Wayne was in attendance. His company could become even greater if he had the Waynes wearing his clothing.
"Bruce Wayne." Gabriel spoke, "It's been too long."
Bruce just smiled, "I'm only here to meet my future daughter-in-law. My youngest has found the woman he wishes to spend the rest of his life with."
"Oh?" Gabriel questioned, "Surely, you met her before tonight."
"I trust my son's judgement more then my own." Bruce admitted, "He is hard to please, more then anyone I have met. If he believes she is the right person, who am I to deny him. Ah! There he is."
Damian caught his Father's gaze and sighed. He had been hoping to drag it out until later in the night. He grasped his fiancée's hand and gently led her towards his father. Gabriel froze when he saw Bruce's son. There was no mistaking his appearance, but standing next to him was none other then Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
"Marinette, it's a pleasure to finally meet you." Bruce spoke.
Mari smiled, "It's great to finally meet you as well, Mr. Wayne."
"Call me Bruce." he smiled, "You're going to be family soon."
She giggled, "With the ways Damian acts, I wasn't sure if I was gonna meet you until the wedding."
"And you are?" Damian questioned, eyeing Mr. Agreste.
"Mr. Agreste." she spoke, calmly.
"Miss Dupain-Cheng." he stated.
"Oh, you know each other." Bruce smiled.
