It wasn't strange, for Marinette, to see people kissing. She had seen her parents kiss each other and smile, before cooking. When she walked around, she always assumed the people kissing were together. As she got older, she heard her friends saying how they loved kissing. It was the best part about relationships. Marinette never thought so. What she liked most was holding Damian's hand. She didn't need everyone to see her kiss him. She preffered to kiss him, when it was just them. She knew he did, too.

"Soooo, Marinette," Lila began, "you said you have a boyfriend."

Marinette nodded, not wanting Lila to use her words against her. She could feel her friends all looking at her.

"Have you kissed him?" she questioned.

"Yes." Mari answered.

"So, why don't we see you do it?" Lila continued, "How much did you pay him to pretend to be interested?"

"If anything, I'd pay her to be mine." Damian spoke, announcing himself.

Damian pulled Marinette towards him and kissed her. When he looked up, he glared at the people she had been with. He wasn't amused with them attempting to dissuade Marinette's feelings for him. Marinette giggled, unaware of the glare he was sending her friends, and cuddled into his chest.

"I don't care about kisses because him holding my hand already shows people that I'm his and he's mine." Marinette smiled.

Damian smirked, "Well said, Habibiti."

Marinette smiled at her boyfriend and followed him as he led her away.

"That was adorable."

"He seemed protective of her, too."

"They make such a cute couple."

"Marinette is adorable in wanting to hold his hand."

"I know I only want to kiss Ivan, in private."

"Same with Nino. No offense, but I don't need an audience."

Lila pouted. There went her chance to throw suspicion at the Marinette. It was going to get harder to say why Mairnette didn't want to be friends with her. It might have been possible to keep up the 'jealousy' lie, a bit longer, had her boyfriend no showed up at the worst time. Marinette's innocent answer had keyed in her victory.
