If you haven't watched that interview ^^ i linked it above, it's one of my favorites.

HE'S AWAY

I lay on my side on the leather couch in the living room. My hand is placed on my stomach rubbing it slowly.

Yes, I'm pregnant—three months to be exact. Johnny and I already have a little three year old girl and I got pregnant again with this one.

I'm currently on the phone with Johnny while he has time in between work. He's away doing interviews and finalizing everything for his film, Sweeney Todd, to premiere.

My daughter and I woke up really early this morning to watch Johnny and Tim's interview stream live on the Today Show.

FLASHBACK

We sit on the couch and I turn on the TV. Our daughter sits in my lap in between my legs. She sleepily lays back on my chest and I play with her soft hair.

I lightly smile as the interviewer starts to introduce Johnny, as well as Tim.

"Look mommy, it's daddy!" Set sits up and points to the screen. I yawn.

"I see, baby, I see." I chuckle. I stare at the screen, a light smile not leaving my face as we watch it.

I lean my head back on the couch and watch the interview. I think to myself about how great he looks and how genuinely kind he is to everyone.

My smile starts to fade as the TV flashes i front of us. My daughter giggles.

I start to think more of how much I miss him and how long he's been gone as my daughter snuggles up to me.

PRESENT

"Yes, you watched it, huh? " Johnny speaks through the other side of the phone. He laughs at something I previously said.

"Yes baby, I did and I thought you looked amazing. You really are such an amazing-"

"Mommmma." Our daughter pitifully whines and runs into the living room, a blanket draped over her shoulder and a sippy cup clutched in her hand.

"What's up, baby?" I ask her, and tell Johnny to 'hold on'.

"I miss daddy..." She pouts and scrunches her eyebrows. "I want him to read with me and- and play Barbies with me." Her words come out not so clear, but I can understand them well. She sniffles and her big brown eyes flutter.

"So do I, darling. I wish he was here too, but look, come here."

I put my phone on speaker and hold it to her.
