Peter's POV
As we got closer to the living room I heard voices talking.

Probably the other Avengers.

I winced. They knew me as Peter Parker. I bumped into Black Wid— Nat, as she stopped in the door way. I looked over her shoulder.

Mr. Stark was on the couch and he looked stressed and was telling them something. Everyone was trying to calm him down.

I caught part of the conversation.

"I shot him. You don't understand he hates me! Gosh he hates me." Mr. Stark said running a hand through his hair.

"He probably doesn't hate you. He helped you in the lab right? He said he looked up to you!" Captain America was saying.

"Ahem. Gentlemen. We have a guest." Nat said. She seemed so oddly calm.

Everyone looked at me and I felt nervous.

"Um. Hi." I said looking at the ground.

"Hey Peter." The others went. I could tell everyone felt at least a bit awkward.

"Well kid. I umm. Guess your staying the night with us?" Mr. Stark said. He still sounded stressed.

"Really? What about Shield?" I asked quickly. Everyone looked at each other.

"Fury can wait till you're 21 to put you in shield's system as far as I care. He can't force a minor to join. I'd suppose that would be illegal." Mr. Stark said.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

Thank goodness.

I looked at everyone in the room. The only person missing was Thor. As I met Loki's eyes he smiled at me.

"So I guess we should tell you about the actual legal matters that have to be taken care of." Mr. Stark continued.

I sucked in my breath. This was about me running away wasn't it?

"First of all being, why did you run away?"

"Oh. Well... IreallywantedtocontinuebeingSpiderManbutIcouldn'tdothatinafosterhomeandifafamilymovedmeoutofNewYorkIstillcouldn'tdoit." I said quickly.

Everyone stared at me for a second.

"Kid's gonna fit in just fine here, right Steve?" I heard Mr. Barnes whisper to Captain American. I didn't comment on it given I wasn't supposed to hear it.

"Well. That um... makes sense I guess. We still have to make your present know to the government so I can actually get custody over you."

"Wait what?"

"But that can wait until tomorrow. Hey everyone! Why don't we watch a movie, sound good Peter? Good." Mr. Stark said very fast.

I blinked as he rushed to get a movie started.

"C'mon Ребенок паук. Let's watch a movie."

"Are you going to tell me what that means??"

"Maybe." She replied sitting down on the couch. I awkwardly sat down next to her.

Hey. If they weren't going to turn me into Shield right away, who was I to turn down a warm place to sleep for the night?
