(I know I already did Charlie two chapters back, but this is really important for you guys to see now! Artwork by Summilly on Twitter!)

"Alright," I said as I stood up with my bowl. "I think it's time for me to go to bed. Anthony, I'll let you stay up an hour past curfew tonight if you promise to behave."

The vampire's eyes lit up with excitement. "Sweet! Thanks! I'll be good."

I nodded in appreciation to him. As I turned to the others, I noticed an unusual look on Alastor's face. I couldn't quite describe it, but it probably meant nothing.

"Goodnight, Miss Charlotte!" Nifty gave me a quick hug and gazed at me with glittering eyes.

I laughed and pat her head. "Goodnight."

"You all are welcome to stay the night, if you want," I offered with a smile. Vaggie gave me a warning glare, but she remained silent.

Alastor was the first to speak. "That sounds positively wonderful. I must learn the layout of this hospital if I wish to work effectively, anyways."

"I'd like to sleep over! Please!" Nifty hopped with infinite energy.

I glanced to Husker for his opinion.

"If any of you hooligans decide to disturb my sleep I am slitting fuckin' throats, you hear me?" He directed it more at Alastor, although I had a feeling the vampire wouldn't invade his privacy.

I yawned and waved, walking up to my own room.

Since this was a hospital, an abandoned one nonetheless, the living spaces weren't exactly comfortable. I was lucky to find a dry room with no mold, but other rooms were absolutely disgusting.

I sighed as I found mine and walked through the door. Plopping down, I almost collapsed out of exhaustion. Today was eventful, but I felt I shouldn't have been this tired.

After changing into night clothes and doing my bedtime routine, I laid down on the firm mattress. I closed my eyes and waited for sleep to find me.

It started out as it always did.

The dream began with soft white light, fading to reveal a blurred face. It held itself comfortably close to mine with a loving smile; I could feel a warm hand on my cheek.

As expected me and the mysterious man began to dance in a pastel environment. We moved slowly to the rhythm of music I could barely hear. Our eyes remained locked, and I saw his smile grow with mine.

I didn't know this man, but I knew he loved me. He was in every dream I'd had for the past few weeks. It confused me, but I felt too happy to worry. I was with this man I loved with all of my heart.

Our surroundings flickered, then once more, and finally melted away. They were replaced by flames.

I didn't remember this.

In a panic I looked to the man. A single tear ran down his tan cheek, and his grin had ceased. There was fear in his eyes, thick like fog. He screamed my name and reached for me as I was pulled back.

Only darkness remained, and I attempted to call for him. I received no response.

Gradually, the walls of black granulated away. I saw him standing ahead of me, his clothes torn and eyes wide. His smile returned as he ran towards me with arms open. I returned the embrace as my panic settled.

He held me close and whispered in my ear. "Don't lose faith. Don't lose hope. But most important of all, don't let go."

I awoke with a jolt. I fell into a dreamless sleep afterwards.
