I stared at her scar for a number of seconds, how could something like this happen? What even happened? What?
"She'll be okay...for now at least" Eve saw the confusion on my face "What's the matter?"
I stared at Skye for a few seconds longer, until i noticed something that made my heart sink. A drop of red blood dripped down from her face, vampires don't have red blood...
"Hellooo?"
I snapped out of it and looked at Eve "Oh, um. Sorry. I was just distracted."
"Alright then."
Skye felt the blood and looked at Eve terrified. "Um. Eve. Help. Please.."
"Don't worry, he won't do anything. ..i hope" at that moment we all realized something, how long was it since we had eaten? My eyes went bright red. Skye slowly backed away. Eve looked at me "Jake....don't do this"
I couldn't help myself, i'd lost a lot of blood but hadn't had any in a long while. I couldn't resist. I jumped off my bed and ran behind her, she screamed. I went to bite
"Jake NO! Don't you dare touch her!"
I looked up at Eve, she looked scared, i've never seen her take something so seriously. My eyes went back to normal and i got off her. Skye instantly ran to Eve and started crying. Eve gave me a death stare as i left the room.The rest of the day was mostly me sitting out under the front porch with a cigarette watching the rain. I don't usually smoke but after all that happened with Sunny and just now, i needed this. I decided to go for a walk. I tossed away my cigarette and walked into the forest. This was a different forest, i could tell. I had explored the whole forest near my place. I spent hours mindlessly wondering around the forest. I slowly found my way back, I walked in the door and heard and saw nothing.
"Hello? Eve? Skye?"
....nothing
"Hellooooo?"
I walked into the bedroom and nearly lost my shit. Eve was on the floor, covered in blood and unconscious. I ran to her. "EVE!"
She was alive, but only just. I saw a note on the bed, i picked it up and opened it.
BANG BANG
It came from the front door... I heard a shotgun click.
