Recap: Mr. Schuester makes the week's lesson passion. Each member picks something they're passionate about and sings a song in front of the group. Quinn tells Juliet that she doesn't like her talking with Evan, but that doesn't stop them from having a few conversations.
A/N: I apologize for my absence and lack of updates. School and work have started back up for the year and I'm super busy. Enjoy this chapter
"Happy Homecoming week! I would like to run through our Britney songs again before we perform on Friday."
"That's not going to take all week, Mr. Schuester."
"I hope it doesn't, considering we've already done the routines. I want to introduce a new project for us to work on: a musical."
"Oh my gosh! What musical? There are so many wonderful options to choose from, but Funny Girl is obviously the best one!"
"Do you ever shut up about Funny Girl, Hobbit?"
"While that is a popular musical, Rachel, we will not be doing Funny Girl. I picked Wicked for us to do."
"Wait, for real?" I asked.
"That's what he just said, Newbie. Don't tell me you're gonna fan girl over this musical. I can't take another Rachel Berry in this club." I threw Santana a look.
"I'd like for you to all audition next week, so take this week to prepare. Familiarize yourself with the musical if you aren't already. Right now, though, I'd like to run through our numbers for Homecoming."

I passed the largest bulletin board in the school on my way to my locker. I groaned seeing the Homecoming posters plastered all over the wall. Most of the couples were popular football players and cheerleaders, which I didn't find surprising. I did see Quinn's picture up there, though. That did surprise me a little bit, although I didn't know why. It was only when I heard a voice that I realized I'd been looking a little too long.
"So, can I count on your vote?"
"Why do you care? We're not even friends." I rolled my eyes. "You're running with Sam?"
"To win an election, you need votes from both parties. And I'm running with Sam because we're dating. I'm not with Finn anymore and everyone knows a solo third party candidate wouldn't win on their own."
"This isn't a real election, Quinn. It doesn't matter."
"It doesn't matter to you."
"Whatever. There's not really a difference anyway."
"So, can I count on your vote?" she repeated.
"I'm not going to vote for you just because you want to win. We're not friends, Quinn. If we were, well then, maybe that'd be a different story. But we're not."
"You're not friends with anyone else on the ballot. Hell, you don't even know any of them."
"Then I just won't vote."
"You're wasting a vote."
"I don't care."
"You have to vote for someone!"
"Why are you making such a big deal out of this?"
Quinn opened her mouth to speak, but just scoffed instead.

This year was already proving to be quite interesting. Granted, I've only been here for a year so there's not much to compare it to, but a lot of things just seem off. The whole atmosphere of the club is off, although that's not necessarily a bad thing, There's a bunch of new people who haven't really found their place yet. I get that because I was in their place a short year ago.
