Recap: The group bounced back from the football game and onto the Wicked performance. Everyone agreed that it went well. It was quickly the last week before winter break, and Mr. Schue planned a holiday "performance." It is revealed that Brittany still believes in Santa, so the team played along to keep the magic alive. Juliet wished that Kurt could stay at McKinley, even though she knew he couldn't. Quinn apologized to Juliet and confessed that she is confused about her romantic feelings towards Sam and Finn.
A/N: The idea for an ABBA tribute episode is not mine. Inspiration is from comewhatblaine on Instagram!
The first week back from break was pretty uneventful. Some of us went to new semester long classes for the second half of the year, but everyone wished it was still break. Mr. Schue had us working on various different lessons each week, none of which would ever be used for the quickly approaching Regionals competition.
Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, it was almost Valentine's Day. All the girls were looking for their boyfriends and all the boys were looking for their girlfriends. Couples were anxious to send gifts and plan dates for the big day.
I, or course, didn't have a date.
Over break, Evan and I decided that we weren't ever really dating. We both decided that it would be best to stay friends and not pursue anything more. I was happy with that. I didn't want to ruin a friendship by dating.
But it seemed everyone else in Glee Club had a date. Rachel and Finn were dating. Quinn was still dating Sam, despite what she confessed to me before break. Artie was dating Brittany. Tina and Mike were together. Puck was dating Lauren, someone outside of Glee. Santana clearly still had eyes for Brittany. Mercedes was dating a guy on the football team. And Kurt, whose spirit was still a member of the club even though he was at Dalton, had his eyes set on a guy there. Sugar was actually the only one not trying to find a date. She seemed to be content with herself.
But it was already almost Valentine's Day, and Mr. Schue was sure to assign a lesson to go along with the holiday. Walking into the choir room and bringing copious amounts of energy with him, Mr. Schue announced, "yes, Valentine's Day is this week, but I don't just want to sing love songs. I'd like to do another tribute this week. This week's assignment is ABBA."
"Abracadabra!" Brittany said.
I laughed. "My mom used to play ABBA all the time when I was little! This should be fun."
"That's the spirit, Juliet. I'm going to leave this assignment pretty much all up to you. You can choose if you want to sing alone or with a partner or with a small group. You can choose what song you'd like to sing, but let's try and avoid repeats. If anyone wants to sing a special song to someone on Valentine's Day, that is also okay. I'm excited to see what you all come up with. Let's go and get started!"

"What's this?"
"Oh! Hi, Juliet. I set up a kissing booth to raise money for the New Directions."
"That's all?"
"Yeah? What do you mean?"
"That's the only reason you set up a kissing booth in the middle of the hallway packed like sardines with hormone filled teenagers, to raise money for the New Directions?"
"Yeah," Finn repeated. "That's what I said. What other reason would there be anyway?"
To kiss Quinn even though you're supposed to be dating Rachel? "Oh, no other reason. It's great to see you using your popularity to raise money for a club at the bottom of the totem pole."
