Recap: Carole and Burt finally got married and the New Directions was there to sing along. Juliet talked with Kurt again about Karofsky's bullying and convinced him to confide in Finn as well. Evan asked Juliet on a date, and Kurt helped her get ready.

"It's the week you've all been waiting for! This year's theme is youth and we're competing against The Hipsters and The Warblers."

"Oh great," I mumbled.

"The Warblers are a strong team." I nodded. "It's an all boys acapella group. However, they lack movement. They can sing, but they don't flow on the stage. That's where I want to beat them. Brittany and Mike, you will head up choreography. Quinn, I'd also like you to help out there. This year's set list will feature more people."

"So not just Finn and hobbit?" Santana said.

"We're going to start with Mercedes and Santana singing 'River Deep, Mountain High.' Then, Quinn and Sam will sing '(I've Had) The Time of My Life.' We'll finish with 'Start Me Up/Livin' on a Prayer.' I know that mash up was originally sung by just the girls, but I'd like to add a few male voices this time around. Artie, Puck, and Finn, you three will sing along with Brittany, Santana, Rachel, and Tina. Get excited, it's competition week!"

We ran through "Start Me Up/Livin' on a Prayer" since we made changes to the original version. Quinn and Sam broke off and started working on "(I've Had) The Time of My Life." The rest of us were just singing backup for that one, so we didn't all need to spend so much time there. Again, we didn't spend a whole lot of time as a group on "River Deep, Mountain High" since it's a duet for Mercedes and Santana. The rest of us just sing backup there too.

Brittany, Mike, and Quinn started working on choreography. I was confident in their ability to craft us a top notch routine to help us beat The Warblers. I have to say, I was a bit nervous when Mr. Schue said their name. I know how good they are. I've practiced with and competed against them numerous times. They always have strong vocals, but, like Mr. Schuester said, they do lack movement on stage. Brittany, Mike, and Quinn really needed to pull through for us.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Are you excited for your first competition?"

"I am," Evan replied. "Although I am a little jealous that Sam gets a solo."

I shrugged my shoulders. "Yeah." I looked around the room to see who was within earshot. "I'm just glad it isn't the Rachel Berry show again."

Evan laughed. "I've never seen the Rachel Berry show. What channel is it on?"

"WWMH, Lima's local news station for William McKinley High."

"Is that real?"

I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh my gosh no, Evan. I just made that up."

"Oh. Well, it was funny."

"Now you know. Tune in weekdays at 11!" He smiled back, understanding the joke this time.

"Okay, okay, okay. We should really get back to rehearsing."

"What, you mean singing backup and swaying in the back?"

Evan rolled his eyes. "You're such a comedian," he said sarcastically.

"Just because it isn't Rachel Berry doesn't mean it isn't annoying. I want my fifteen minutes of fame too."

"Regionals, Juliet. I know you'll solo at Regionals."
