Cameron woke up with a start, thinking she had just woken up from a nightmare. She closes her eyes again trying to calm her racing heart after that insane reality her mind made up in her dreams. She tried to pull the blanket up only to feel a tug on it to the left of her.

There was someone else in her bed.

She didn't want to open her eyes in fear of what she would see. Sure, her dream was scary but actually waking up to someone else in your bed might be even scarier.

She slowly opens her eyes to see who is next to her. Only to realize her nightmare was not just a dream.

"mmm go back to sleep" The man's voice sleepily mutters from under the blanket he's cocooned himself under.

"...Siri...?" she whispers, terrified to confirm her dream was actually reality.

"What? Cameron go back to sleep, we can figure everything out later." He confirms her nightmare by responding to the name.

She flings herself back onto the bed, tears pooling in her eyes as she realizes she still stuck in this fucking nightmare.

Accepting her fate, or at least sucking it up for now, she gets out of bed and heads to the kitchen. She groans, remembering that there's no coffee machine.

She just sits on the couch and reflects instead, not hungry even though she only ate a little bit the night before.

She misses her family, wishing she could be with them right now instead of this hell. Sure, they weren't the best, they really fucking sucked sometimes. But being with them would be better than this right now.

She misses her dog mostly, that's really all the family she misses. Maybe her cousin too. Yeah she really fucking misses her cousin.

She wonders if there really is no one else in this hell. I mean they must be all alone from what she's observed. They can't be at home, it's just not possible. This has to be some sort of fucking alternate reality.

There's no family, or really no people at all. Like there's no one walking outside or driving cars. She realized yesterday but it's really setting in now during the day.

People would usually be driving to work around this time, rushing around and running late.

But it's silent.

There's nothing out there, last night the neighbors lights weren't even on. I mean, it makes sense that if we don't have power then they don't.

She wonders if they have their appliances or if everyone's house is like theirs. If everyone's stuff is gone then that adds more evidence to the alternate reality theory.

What burglar could take an entire fucking neighborhoods appliances and electronic devices without anyone noticing? It's not possible even with people noticing.

This just doesn't make any sense at all.

She might just still be in a nightmare. Alternate reality is pretty much the fucking same as nightmare.
