Chapter 11: Cinders to Ashes

Third Person POV

Y/N and Cinder rush towards each other blade first. The tips of each of their weapons bounce off of each other, and Y/N goes for a quick slash at her chest. Cinder dodges, but barely tanks the kick to her leg enough to dodge another slash. She draws her bow, sending six arrows at him. He smirks, and grabs two of them mid air. He throws them both down, which caused part of the bridge to crack and knocks Cinder back a little due to the blast. As the smoke covers his position, he uses a small move he calls a Stinger (basically a stab that drags his body in a fast, forward motion) straight to her stomach, swings his gun down on her head, then does two diagonal slashes with his knife before finishing it off with a horizontal sweep of his gun, which also fired off a large array of bullets before he had to stylishly reload. She blocks the last two hits, but pants a bit. She rushes at him with two swords, and throws them at him. He dodges, and she keeps throwing more. A fiery orange glyph appears in a pattern on the bridge, and a tower of searing hot flames burst from them.

(A/N: Notice how both Glynda and Cinder's glyphs disappeared after like...episode 1???)

She was smirking until she barely blocked a melee attack from his gun, which he fired rapidly. 4 shots land in her stomach, knocking the air out of her. He goes for a vault kick, but she grabs his leg and throws him against a pillar. She shoots two large balls of fire at him, destroying the beam. She takes out her bow and aims it just in case, when a black panther comes out and slices at her like a sawblade. She blocks as much as she can before pushing the animal back, only to dodge multiple lightning strikes. She shoots the bird, only to be hit in the head by a silver cane. She saw the one known as V smirking at her with a book in hand.

Cinder: "Who the hell are you?!"

V: "Reap what you sow. Demolish!"

The panther and bird rushed her, creating little opportunities for her to not either get pecked or cut. She cast a hex of fire around her, making them back away. Meanwhile with the girls, they just finished cutting down the last mech's limb. After Torchwick exits the broken pile of bolts, they aim their weapons at him. He snarls, but remembers what would happen if he tried to touch them while Y/N is here. Torchwick sees Yang about to approach, and smirks.

Torchwick: 'He said he doesn't care about the blonde one...time for a little fun!'

He shoots at Yang an Yang only, as the other girls try to support her and fire back. Weiss used her glyphs to rush at him, but he dodged with minimum to low effort. She backflips high enough for Ruby to slash down, and uses bullet recoil for an attack to his chest. He blocked the second hit after recoiling at the first, and uses the hook of his cane to launch her away with her weapon. Back with Y/N and Cinder, she tries going for three quick strikes but fails because he suddenly was beside her, fist already at the ready. He uppercuts her into the air, and unloads all of his shots possible into her beltline, juggling her in the air. As her aura is slowly drained to 50%, V appears in Y/N's place as the bird summons a large lightning bolt on top of her, making it go down to 38%. She falls down. 36%. She groans as he steps on her heel, screaming in the sudden pain of it breaking. 

V: "So, do you give up yet?"

Cinder: "N-never! Not when I've come this far you bastard!!!"

She sets him on fire and kicks him into a car. The car explodes, barely doing any damage to him. As he gets up, she slams her searing hot heels into his stomach, and then sends a huge blast to knock him away. Y/N rushes back at her, and she parries every single one of his diagonal attacks. He suddenly shoots her arms, and sweeps her off her feet. He kicks her up, firing a few shots before cartwheel-kicking her into the side of the road. She fires a few waves of fire at him, all exploding upon contact. She takes a moment to breath, and it quickly proves to be her downfall when a truck is hurled at her. As she barely avoids the projectile, it hits the part of the road Team RWBY and Torchwick were on, making them fall to the road below. On the way down, Blake and Weiss send the large chunks of asphalt at the falling ginger, and he smirks. A small area around himself seems to distort, allowing him to gracefully leap off the broken road.
