The Cycle

I wake up staring at the ceiling, groggy and with a headache. I look down, and Azuki is laying her head on my chest, the blanket only really covering her.

What happened again? ... Right, we... right. I hope she enjoyed it as much as I did, that it wasn't a moment of double-drunk stupidity. Whatever, first I should deal with this headache. I think Dad always said that water helped with hangovers.

Now, to get out of bed.

I try lifting Azukis head off of me, but she moves her head back right away.

If I move away she'll wake up. Welp, guess I'm stuck here.

...

An hour later, I see maple in the hallway, hungover as well.

"Maple, could you bring me a cup of water? I'm stuck, and this headaches only getting worse."

"Sure..."

She sounds tired, like she's been awake, just only got out of bed now.

"So... why are you naked with Azuki?"

"Well, considering there's no way out of this situation, might as well tell you. We were... taking a shower, and just passed out afterwards. Also, Azuki latches onto me when I try to get her off, so I've been stuck for the past hour."

"Y'know, she's a pretty heavy sleeper. You could probably walk out of here with her on you, and still keep sleeping."

"Really?"

"No harm in trying, right?"

I lean forward, and Azuki seems to keep clinging to me anyways.

"Jeez, like my tail."

I get up and go to the bathroom, ignoring the now waking Azuki on my side.

"huh? Where are we?"

"You were clinging to me like my tail, so I got up to use the bathroom with you attached."

"sorry..."

"All good, you were sleeping anyways."

"hm"

Tired, we continue getting dressed and I start on breakfast.

I see everyone slowly start to enter the kitchen as the smell of breakfast beckons them. They're all wearing lazy outfits, thrown together just as to not be naked. I'm the same, just wearing whatever clothes I found first.

"It's almost done."

I serve it onto a plate for each of them, scrambled eggs, some buttered toast, and a little bit of fried fish on the side. Not fried though, I was too lazy for that, I just put it in the oven.

"thanks"

"Welcome"

We all eat in silence, until Cinnamon's coffee starts to kick in.

"So, Valerie. Why'd I hear you two in the shower last night?"

I see Azuki start to get flustered next to me, her face beet red.

"It's exactly what you think it is."

"Is that also why I saw you two sleeping together naked?"

"Yeah, also why I didn't get up for some water earlier."

"Why's that?"

"Well, not that I can judge, but apparently my boobs are the comfiest pillows known to cat."
