Okay. I havn't uploaded in forever...I'm really sorry about that...

I've noticed I've been getting more fans, gradually..but I've gotten a few..

I don't think people realize how happy a simple click of the fan button or even just a comment will make me.

So please, let me know what you think?

Thanks!

And happy early Valentine's day. If you're into it, that is. Or celebrate it where you are from.

Oh, and I added a song...by My Chemical Romance...it fits well, in my opinion. And I love them :)

Chapter 20

Scarlett P.O.V

I fell in and out of a light sleep for the next day or so. My mom dropped in often to visit me, as did many of my friends from school.

"Scarlett?" My mom asked, shaking me slightly to wake me up.

"Yeah?" I mumbled back.

"It's about Erick." She said his name, causing my eyes to widen. She noticed this and continued. "He's awake," she said, smiling a little.

"Great! How is he?" I asked.

"He...well ....He's got a pretty bad case of amnesia. He didn't only forget the accident, like you did, but his own name, until the nurses told him," she spoke. I shook my head.

"No.." I muttered to myself. "Why him?" I said, tears falling as my mom smiled sympathetically.

I've done more crying this month then the rest of my life combined, it seems.

"Can I go see him and Alice?" I asked.

"I'll ask the nurse," my mom spoke before turning to find one. I bit my lip and waited for her to return.

She entered the room, and smiled a bit, "Yeah, you can go see them. They are both awake. Who do you want to see first?"

I knew seeing Erick would be the hardest...so I decided to start there.

"Erick," I said.

My mom walked to my side and helped me out of the hospital bed. She grabbed the IV pole and rolled it behind me as she lead me down the hall and to the left. We entered his room and I peered past the curtain, uncertain of exactly what I would see. He was sitting up in his bed. He had scratches all over his arms and face, coupled with a black left eye and a bruised cheek. I sharply took in my breath, breaking the silence. He looked over at us, tilting his head slightly.

"Who are you guys, and what are you doing in my room?" He asked, cautiously. I bit my lip and took a small step forward, afraid to push it to far.

"My name is Scarlett, and this is my mom..." I trailed off.

"Well, why are you here?" He replied hoarsely, his slight Irish accent still fused with his words. "Did I know you or something before the accident?"

I nodded, my mom ushering me more into the room.

"Well...Who are you? Classmate? Sister? Best friend?" He continued.

"Uh, I was your..." I tried, not quite finding the words in my throat. The lump was growing steadily bigger, and I needed to hurry before I let a tear fall. He raised a bruised eyebrow. "..Girlfriend." I said, immediately looking down. His face fell, but in the I'm-sorry-I-let-you-down-way.

"Was? Does this mean we broke up?" He asked, completely clueless as to who I was. I must admit, it was strange. Heartbreaking, but strange.

"Uh, no...we never broke up." I spoke quietly. All of a sudden I became shy, self conscious. What if he didn't like me anymore?

"So you are my girlfriend. Not were. Are." He clarified. I nodded slowly, my mom shifting behind me. "What's your name again? Charlotte?" He guessed. I turned around before he could see the tears fall.

"Scarlett," I mumbled, sniffling. "My name is Scarlett," I finished, before slowly leaving the room, my mother trailing behind.

Erick P.O.V

I asked the stranger her name again. I mean girlfriend. It doesn't feel right. I don't even know her. "What's your name again? Charlotte?" I was pretty sure that's what I heard. Judging by the way she pivoted immediately, I had guessed wrong.

"Scarlett," She mumbled. I think she's crying! "My name is Scarlett," she said again, before leaving the room.

It was a pretty name. I bet I really liked her. She seemed to be pretty, too. It's hard to tell with the injured face...

I wish I could remember what happened. Apparently, I was the one driving when a car in the wrong lane smothered mine. It was my fault. I did this to everyone. And I can't even remember who I hurt.

Scarlett P.O.V

My mom lead me into a room back towards the direction of mine. Alice was in her bed, flipping through the TV channels. When she heard us come in she glanced over and grinned.

"Scarlett!" She exclaimed. I smiled back and sauntered to her bed. "So how is Erick? The nurse said you went to see him." She asked me, but frowned when she noticed my expression.

"He doesn't even remember my name," I said, a silent tear falling.
