A few days ago someone decided to set our boat on fire at three in the morning, and I had to start school the next day. But I wrote. Thanks for sticking around. This chapter doesn't make much sense. It's unlike all of the others...by a lot. A bit more interesting, but way more confusing. Just hang in there. Let me know if your confused, and I'll try to post the next chapter as soon as I can to clear it all up. Honestly, this totally came out of nowhere. But i pictured it and my fingers flew across the keyboard, trying to make it sound good with words....

Scarlett's P.O.V.

I ran. I let my feet take me where they wanted to go. The adrenaline, anger, all of the emotions I try so hard to push down came bubbling up through my veins, and seeped out of my pores. My body worked hard to keep up with my legs.

Funny, I was never good at running. I looked behind me just for a second, and I was on the ground. Pain jolted through my leg and I looked down. It was bleeding all over the place before I started falling. And falling and falling and falling.

Alice's P.O.V

A piercing shriek crawled into my ears, causing me to jolt awake. I believe it came from outside. I looked out the window and saw a girl, probably my age, sprawled on the ground. The dim streetlights made it hard to tell.

I almost fell down the stairs, I was running down them so fast. I knelt to the ground next to this girl and got a better look at her. Very attractive, about a year older than me. I felt for a pulse, and my heart sunk when there was none.

Her ghost then materialized in front of me. She was panting, and clutching her stomach.

"Run. Go get. Him. Call the. Police. Hurry," She breathed out before disappearing.

"Wait!" I said, uselessly. I ran inside and dialed 911, explaining the situation.

The sirens and lights showed up almost immediately. Since I was used to such scenes, it did not bother me much. I bolted down the street right away, as a police man pulled up next to me in his car.

"Get in." he instructed.

I hopped in the passenger seat as we headed in the direction the ghost told me to. We drove up and down the street, searching, but to no avail. We both let out heavy sighs and returned home. Scarlett and her very distressed mom were standing out front.

I could not get the fact that this criminal has disappeared into thin air out of my head. I heard no car pull away, and never noticed a person running away. I had a full view of the street from my window, too. I had to figure out who, or rather what, had killed this young woman, and why.

Scarlett's P.O.V

I jumped straight out of bed, still sweating from that strange dream. I was kind of dizzy. Then I started to wonder what woke me up.

Sirens! I ran downstairs, shouting to my mom in the process. I was still rubbing sleep out of my eyes as it stepped into the driveway in my skimpy shorts and tank top.

Why is there a dead girl on my driveway? Is this another dream?

My mind was running a mile a minute when I felt an arm on my shoulder. I jumped, but to my relief it was just my mom.

"What the devil is going on out here?" She said groggily as a paramedic jogged up to us.

"Is this your house, Miss?" She asked my mom. My mom nodded slowly, and I saw confusion cross her eyes. I felt it, too. Some gift. Sure, I live a great life. But I do feel endless pain, worry, distress, from people I don't even know.

Just then I remembered. Erick. How did I get home? I shook the thoughts out of my head and proceeded past the dead girl. Blood was soaking through her shirt around her stomach, before pooling onto our driveway. Why was I so calm?

Just then I felt really lightheaded. I felt like I was floating, but in realityI was falling harshly towards the nice, not-soft cement.
