I squeezed my eyes closed as I heard my bedroom door open, the footsteps got closer to my bed and I anticipated being jumped on. To my surprise my roommate and best friend of almost twenty years just shook my shoulder, I puled off my eye mask and opened my eyes to see Harli leaning over me, still rubbing her eyes. "Morning." Harli said before yawning and sitting on the bed. It became apparent that she hadn't jumped on me that morning because she was holding two mugs of tea. I pulled myself up so that I was sitting and resting my back against the headboard, holding out my hands as she handed me a mug. I sipped it and looked over to the window where I had forgotten to close the curtains. "What time is it?" I asked, not looking away from the grey sky and low clouds that were hiding the points of the tallest buildings. "Eight." Harli said, I looked back over to her, she was wearing one of Fred's old quidditch sweatshirts and striped pyjama bottoms, her brown (almost ginger, which I had teased for years) hair messily pulled into a bun at the bottom of her head, her large framed glasses up on top of her head, pushing her fringe backwards.

She was looking around the dull room, we hadn't had much time to decorate our apartment since we moved in, the walls were still grey, my trunk overspilling with clothes in the corner. I had bought myself one thing though, a large dressing table which was adjacent to my bed, in front of my window and a matching wooden chair sat in front of it. "We might wanna get decorating soon, dad's already asking to come over." She said, looking back at me. I nodded and sipped my tea, her father, Sirius Black, had been asking to come over since the second we moved in two months ago. I hadn't heard from my father, Remus Lupin, for about a week but he had wanted to come to see the place. Our apartment was in Diagon Alley, above an old book shop that was barely even open any more, it was a little dingy, but perfect placement for us, given our jobs at the twins shop.

Harli pushed herself off of the bed and took my empty mug back to the kitchen. I pulled the covers off and walked over to my dressing table and slumped into my chair. I frowned as I saw my face, my mascara smudged underneath my eyes and my hair completely wild, well, wilder than usual. I groaned and picked a towel up from the end of my bed making my way to the bathroom to shower. As I showered, Harli came in to brush her teeth and made a comment about how she was 'too tired for the twin's bullshit' today, making me laugh. I washed my hair, brushed my teeth and jumped out of the shower, making my way back to my room to get ready. I pulled on my uniform t-shirt, a plain black t-shirt with the shop logo on the left side of the chest. The twins were pretty good with our uniforms, we could wear whatever we wanted as long as they could see the logo. I pulled on some baggy, black, denim dungarees, leaving the left strap undone so the logo was visible. I dried and styled my hair which had sort of grown into a mullet and put on my makeup, just basic makeup, it was too early to be bothered to do anything else. I pulled on some funky coloured socks and walked into the kitchen to make breakfast.

I joined Harli at the small circle table we had in the kitchen, she was reading the paper whilst she ate and seemed sucked into one of the articles. I put some bread in the toaster and pulled some butter and jam out of the fridge, "What are you reading?" I asked, leaning against the counter and folding my arms over my chest. "Malfoy's" She said, she looked up and folded the paper, throwing it down on the table. "Lucius been a dick again." She said taking a bite from her toast. "Surprise surprise" I said, turning around and slathering my toast with butter and jam before sitting down opposite her. "It's almost Valentines day, what do I get for Fred?" She said, leaning her elbows on the table. "I don't know, I've never shopped for a man-child before." I said, skimming the article about Lucius Malfoy. "You've never shopped for anyone's valentines present before." She said, a cheeky smile on her face. I opened my mouth and clutched my chest, faking being hurt. I laughed and we threw some ideas around before she looked at her watch and said it was time to leave. I stood up and slung my plate into the sink, grabbing my coat from the back of the sofa, pulling on my high top converse and grabbing my backpack from the floor by the door.
