18. One last time.

Y/N ran through the halls of the headquarters, DIA had planned a event where Jungkook and the rest of the boys were invited too. They didn't know the plan DIA had, but Y/N did.

She heard footsteps coming closer and she saw them already behind them, she picked up her pace.
She ran and ran until she was at the doors, before the other were there. She heard people behind her and she knew that this way wasn't the fastest, she had to take the other way in, through the doors that lead straight into the ballroom.

She ran into the ballroom where the party was hosted.
She saw agents going into the ballroom and going to their places, she ran as fast as she could, hoping she was not too late.

She opened the doors of the ballroom and all the eyes were on her, the pearl of the agency. Some agents looked confused others looked surprised.
She saw D standing near the podium with a wine glass in his hands. He raised his glass and Y/N remembered what her father said.

He will raise his glass as signal for the shooters to take down Jungkook

Y/N looked through the room and noticed them standing on the second floor with their guns ready. One of the shooters aimed already at Jungkook Head.
Jungkook didn't notice any of it, he just saw Y/N standing there.

"Oh hell no." She whispered and so she ran to Jungkook.
When she almost reached him she saw the shooter putting his finger on the trigger. She ran faster and faster and in the end they heard a gunshot.
All eyes were on Jungkook, he looked shocked and was frozen.

The boys looked at him and saw Y/N in his arms, she had pulled him away from the bullet.
She covered him from the bullet.
She covered him from a planned assassination.

Y/N hugged him and then not even a second later another gunshot was fired and she felt the bullet pierce though her back.
This was not what she expected to happen so she was surprised when the bullet hit her.

Jungkook immediately caught her body. He placed his hand in her back and saw blood all over his hand.
"No no no!" He yelled.
He took her and ran out of the ballroom, hoping to have time to save her.

He ran and ran but Y/N her body became more and more numb.
Jungkook looked at Y/N and saw how pale saw was getting, this should not happen.
He fell down on his knees when he saw she was getting weaker and weaker.
Jungkook couldn't stand seeing her in pain. His tears ran down his cheeks as he felt powerless for the first time in so long.

The boys were still in the ballroom trying to shoot the others, when they succeeded they ran to seek for Jungkook and Y/N.

"Kook!" Jin yelled.
"Kook where the fuck are you?!" Suga yelled but then they boys saw blood on the floor.
They looked up and began to become nervous.

The shot wound itself wasn't lethal but the poison on it was. DIA wanted to be sure than when they would've shot Jungkook that he couldn't come far, but they didn't shoot him they shot Y/N.
It hurt so bad, she could even breath without feeling the pain.

Y/N couldn't stand the pain anymore so she looked at Jungkook.
"Happy thoughts baby, happy thoughts... you will be okay soon". He whispered.

The tears streamed down his face when he saw she want going to be okay soon, but he didn't want to give in so easily.
"If you really love me, please shoot me..." Y/N knew what she was asking him but she couldn't stand the pain anymore, it was going to kill her anyway so why choose the long painful death.

Jungkook shot his head towards her and he shook his head.
"No, I'm not losing you!"
"You will not lose me, I will be right next to you..."

She took the gun out of this waistband and put it near her heart.
She laid her hands over his and she gave him a comforting smile.
She put his finger on the trigger, and put hers over it.

"It wasn't your fault... please remember that."
"I love you Jeon Jungkook, I always will love you..."

And she pulled the trigger.
"I love you too..."
He cried his heart out as he held her lifeless body in his hands, he had just got her back and now he lost her again.

The boys bursted through the doors right after the gunshot was fired.
They saw Jungkook sitting in the middle of the room with Y/N in his hands.
Taehyung fell down on his knees and the others held their hand in front of their mouth.

Jungkook looked up at his friends and he just stayed quiet.
The tears kept rolling down but no words left his mouth.
Because the thing that really hurt you, they make you go quiet.

Death is inevitable, we are all going to die one day.
But sometimes a person dies that still hasn't finished living, they died for love.
They died for the person they loved, the person they would do anything for.
Death may be inevitable, but it also has it consequences.
Because the price we must pay for love, is the grief.
