Ten months had passed since you joined the Justice League, and Clark was right: Bruce joined when he saw you. To be honest, you had been thinking about quitting. You had been with the League for almost a year now, and it was getting pretty monotonous. You missed fighting on your own, moving around freely without any of your allies getting too close. Don't get me wrong, you met amazing people—Superboy, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern—but you just missed being with Bruce.

You were perched on the edge of a rooftop, the city lights twinkling below, when Superboy flew up to you, his cape billowing in the night breeze.

"Y/N," he greeted, his voice warm and familiar.

"Jonathan," you replied, smiling at him.

"So, what brings you up here tonight?" he asked, curiosity dancing in his eyes.

"Just enjoying the night," you said as you took off your mask, breathing in the cool, crisp air. Jonathan smiled and patted your head affectionately.

"I'm older than you, you know," he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"So what? You're still adorable," you retorted, playfully slapping his hand away.

"Yeah, yeah. Come back when you're 18," he chuckled, settling down next to you.

"God, you are so beautiful. Has anyone ever told you that?" he asked, his voice sincere and admiring.

"Yes, Clark said it, Wonder Woman said it, Batman...you name it," you replied with a small, shy smile.

"Damn, I wish I was your age. You're eighteen, right? God, I would date you in a heartbeat," he said wistfully, his eyes softening.

"Heh, I'm about to turn nineteen," you corrected, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks.

"Really? When?" he asked, intrigued.

"Five days from now," you replied, glancing at him.

"Lucky," he murmured, a hint of envy in his voice. You waved your hand to pull out a tablet to check the time.

"I should get going," you said, noting the late hour.

"Need a ride?" he offered, his concern evident.

"No, Bats got me," you replied with a reassuring smile.

"Hmm, okay. Well, good night, Miss Night," he said, standing up.

"Night," you responded, putting your mask back on and jumping down to enter the JL building. Once inside, you headed to where Batman wanted to meet in the park. Gathering your things, you made your way there.

The park was serene and quiet, the only sounds the rustling of leaves and the distant hum of the city. You sat on a swing, gently swaying back and forth. The cold made your fingers turn pink, and you sighed, your breath visible in the chilly air. Finally, Bruce arrived, his silhouette tall and imposing against the night sky.

"Hey," he greeted, his voice a comforting rumble.

"Hello," you replied, unable to help the smile that spread across your face. Over the past months, you had developed feelings for him.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting," he said, reaching out to grab both of your hands and putting them in his. Is he trying to warm up my hands? you thought as you smiled.

"Don't worry about it," you said softly, your heart fluttering.

He guided you to the Batmobile and opened the door like a gentleman. You thanked him and sat in the passenger seat. Batman sat next to you, and you headed off, making small talk along the way. The streets of Gotham whizzed past, a blur of neon lights and shadows. When you arrived in Gotham, you got out of the car and used your hook to head up a building, looking for trouble. Batman joined you, and before you jumped down, he grabbed your hand and took off his mask.
