This is a load of shit. Bruce was nowhere to be found, and my dad was standing right next to me. I hoped he wouldn't recognize me, but of course, luck wasn't on my side.

"Y/N, is that you?" he asked, shock and disbelief evident in his voice.

"...shit." I turned slowly. "H-hi, Dad..."

"...You're grounded."

"What!? For what!?" I exclaimed, disbelief and frustration mixing in my voice.

Just then, one of Joker's henchmen snarled, "Hey, shut up!"

I couldn't resist. "You shut up!"

"Y/N! Don't be rude," my dad chided.

"But da—"

"What did you say, slut!?" the henchman barked, stepping menacingly closer.

"Hey! No one calls my daughter a slut!" my dad snapped, his protective instincts kicking in.

"Heh, looks like we've got a little family here," the henchman sneered, grabbing my hair and dragging me to the center of the room.

"Y/N!" my dad shouted, panic evident in his voice.

The henchman pressed a gun to my head. "Look here, folks! If anyone has the balls to talk back to me, you will get shot! Isn't that right, bitch?"

I was quiet. To be honest, I was scared. What would my dad and little brothers do without me? But then a wave of defiance surged within me—didn't they know who I was? Well, I kept my identity a secret, but still! I planted one foot firmly on the ground, shifted my weight, and delivered a powerful uppercut kick, knocking the henchman back.

"That's my girl!" my dad cheered.

Before the other henchmen could react, someone crashed through the window, sending shards of glass flying everywhere. The lights suddenly went out, plunging the room into darkness.

"Shoot the—! Hrmph!" someone's voice was cut off abruptly, followed by the sound of bodies hitting the floor.

In the darkness, I felt a strong grip on my shoulder and was lifted in a bridal carry. I tried to see their face, but all I could tell was that they were shorter than me and wore soft, silky clothing. As the lights flickered back on, I realized who it was—Robin.

"Hey, angel... did you fall from heaven?" he grinned.

I cringed internally. "Uh... erm..."

"No need to say anything! I know you've already fallen for me!" he said with over-the-top confidence.

I was about to roll my eyes, but my dad looked ready to kill Robin, so I restrained myself. I glanced around and saw all the "bad guys" hanging from the ceiling—definitely Bruce's work. Robin must have been looking after the hostages. Bruce, or rather Batman, was likely searching for the Joker. When I came back to the moment, Robin was still holding me.

"Uh... can you put me down, please?" I asked.

"You don't like being carried? Haha! Okay, I'll put the angel down," Robin teased, gently setting me on my feet.

My dad rushed over and hugged me tightly. "Thank God my baby girl is safe!"

"Dad, come on, people are staring," I muttered, embarrassed.

"I don't give a fuck!" my dad declared loudly.

"Daaaad!" I couldn't help but hug him back, resting my head on his shoulder. As I did, I felt someone watching us. Turning, I found myself face-to-face with Batman.

"U-uh," I stammered.

My dad pulled me closer protectively. "Batman, you are under arrest for interfering in police business."

I shot my dad a look that clearly said, "Do you really think that's going to work?"

"Don't give me that look!" my dad insisted. "He might be a 'good guy,' but—"

"Dad..." I tried to interject.

"Let me finish. He needs to think about what he's doing—"

"Dad!"

"I'm not done! If he wants to 'help out,' he could have joined the police force—"

"DAD!"

"WHAT!?"

"He's gone."

"What now?" My dad turned to where Batman had been standing, but he was already gone.

"GODDAMMIT!" my dad cursed, frustration evident in his voice.

Suddenly, a commotion broke out across the room. The Joker himself, flamboyant as ever, was making his grand entrance, flanked by more henchmen. He looked at me and my dad, his eyes gleaming with malicious delight.

"Well, well, well! What do we have here? A little family reunion?" he cackled.

Before I could react, a smoke bomb went off, filling the room with a thick, choking fog. My dad pulled me close, shielding me as best as he could. Through the haze, I saw Batman reappear, moving like a shadow through the chaos.

"Stay here," my dad ordered, pulling out his gun and moving to join the other officers trying to control the situation.

Ignoring his command, I took a deep breath and darted into the smoke, following the path I saw Batman take. As the smoke began to clear, I found myself in a back room, face-to-face with the Joker. He had a hostage—a young woman, tied to a chair and looking terrified.

"Ah, you've come to join the party! How delightful!" the Joker sneered.

"Let her go, Joker," I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Or what? You'll kick me? Oh, I'm so scared!" he mocked, waving a gun around carelessly.

In a flash, Batman appeared, disarming the Joker with a swift, precise movement. They engaged in a brutal hand-to-hand fight, each move faster and more vicious than the last. I watched, tense and ready to jump in if needed, but knowing I would only get in the way.

Finally, Batman landed a knockout blow, and the Joker crumpled to the ground, unconscious. Batman turned to me, his expression unreadable behind the mask.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and gravelly.

"Yeah, thanks to you," I replied, feeling a mix of relief and admiration.

He nodded, then turned to untie the hostage. "Get out of here. It's not safe."

I nodded and made my way back to the main room, where my dad was waiting, looking worried but relieved to see me safe.

"Y/N! Thank God you're okay!" he exclaimed, pulling me into another hug.

"I'm fine, Dad," I assured him, glancing around at the aftermath of the chaos. The room was a mess, but the hostages were safe, and the bad guys were either unconscious or in custody.

As we made our way out of the building, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Despite everything, we had made it through. And while my dad might not always understand, I knew I was meant to fight alongside Batman and Robin—to protect Gotham and the people I loved.
