"Pretty, isn't it?" 

Ni-ki took Jungwon to a mini cafe. Jungwon has never been here before. The decor looked so pretty.

"May I take your order?" a young girl asked.

"I'll take a caramel latte" Ni-ki ordered. Jungwon was busy admiring the cafe he didn't pay attention to the waiter in front of him.

"Babe" Ni-ki snapped his fingers grabbing Jungwon's attention.

"Oh umm water is fine"

"Babe come on, water?" Ni-ki didn't believe Jungwon's order.

"M'not really feeling for anything else" Ni-ki just nodded at his boyfriend.

This date was better than any date Jungwon has been on thus far. It was simple, quiet and just perfect.

" You know there's an old tale that goes like 'the last person whom you spend your 18th birthday with is your true love" Ni-ki told. 

Jungwon wasn't intrigued by this. These old tales are fake. He believes fate is what brings two destined people together and right now destiny points at Ni-ki.

After what seems to be the perfect day for Jungwon. Ni-ki decided against walking him home for obvious reasons.

Jungwon entered the house. Something didn't feel right. It felt different like something bad is about to happen.

There Jungwon saw his mother laying on the couch. The moment she saw him she got up and marched towards Jungwon.

"You ungrateful bitch! After everything I've done for you this is how you repay me!" she shouted at her son.

She grabbed his hand shoving a bottle in his hand.

"Take this every morning don't skip one single day" she threatened.

Jungwon looked at the bottle.Opening it, he noticed the familar red pills. It was those pills his mom told him to take whenever he's sick.

"But mom I'm not sick. Why are you giving me this?" Jungwon asked, he wasn't sick or anything.

"Don't oppose my decisions" she told him seriously "Also, I heard that gay boy attends your school?" 

"I'm sorry who?" 'gay boy' who's that. Jungwon was confused and angry. His mom forced him to take these pills, she insulted someone at their school and she called him 'gay boy' It hurt Jungwon to remember his mother was like this.

"Jongseong"

Now Jungwon lost it. His mother referred to Jay as 'gay boy'. 

"Mom! What's your problem with Jay?! I don't get why you hate him so much? Is it because he's gay?" Jungwon laughed bitterly "Sorry to break it to you mom but I'm also g-"

"Shut up! ROOM NOW!" she yelled. Jungwon wasn't terrified of her anymore. He has been for way too long. 

He also had an amazing evening and he won't let his mother ruin it. He made his way to his room slamming the door shut.

A few days have passed and Jungwon seems to be forgetting something everyday. Something very important but he can't point out what it was.

"Good morning son" his mother greeted "Have you taken your pill for the morning?" that's all his mother ever talked about for the last few days. Those damn pills.

Jungwon sighed, plopping the pill in his mouth followed by water to run it down.

"Good. I'm off to work now. Bye" she left.

Jungwon made his way to school. A group of girls screaming and shouting pushing Jungwon in the process.

It was Jay the school's playboy. Just one glance at the said boy and Jungwon felt empty, like there's something about Jay he felt like he should know but he can't pin point what.

"Baby!" Ni-ki waved already waiting for Jungwon at the school gates.

"I missed you" Ni-ki sing songed 

"I missed you too babe" Jungwon pinched Ni-ki's cheeks.

Throughout the day the group kept blabbering about plans for Jungwon's birthday. Jungwon ignored them knowing they'll come up with some life-risking event.

"Guys I'm gonna use the bathroom, be right back" Jungwon announced.

After using the bathroom on his way back to his friends Jungwon heard whispering coming from inside one of the classrooms.

Being the curious little bunny he is, he pressed his ear against the door. Having heard nothing, he decided to open see for himself.

There he saw Jay flirting with some girl, twirling her hair in his hands. Jungwon felt bad for a second, only to remind himself the player that Jay was and forever will be.

"Jungwon I can explain!" Jay rushed to Jungwon, panicking.

"Uhh what's there to explain?" Jungwon asked genuinely confused. Jay looked at the girl who was listening to their conversation.

"Let's talk somewhere else" He dragged Jungwon into the Janitor's closet locking the door.

"Jungwon I-"

"What are you even gonna explain to me? We don't even know each other" Jungwon said as a matter of fact.

"Listen, I know you said you wanted us to be like strangers but-"

"When did I ever say that?" Jungwon began to think Jay was pranking him. Why else would he be acting as if they knew each other for years?

"Jungwon drop it, please" Jay begged, hoping Jungwon would stop pretending he doesn't know him. Little did Jay know Jungwon wasn't pretending.

"Jay, you're confusing me" Jungwon turn around to leave when the bottle of pills fell on the floor.

"What's this?"
