"I didn't realize you'd be the one to take escort us" Jisoo said crossly, already sensing the mishap being made. "At least say hello, it's been what, 2 years since you've finally returned to Korea" Jin replied with an overly dramatic hand over his heart. "As if anything's changed" Jisoo murmured looking back at Jennie who'd been letting out a smile, Yoongi who was still sitting in the car with his eyes shut for rest and of course her twin brother, who wouldn't shut up.
Jisoo was right about the mishap. Once the view of their great and hardly humble home appeared in one's eye sight there was a quick view of utter chaos. "There are twenty men there and 3 vehicles! I don't believe anything could get past that!" A woman about the age of Jisoo's mother yelled clearly in distress. There was a myriad of maids and butlers swarming around trying their best to locate what is right in front of them. It was almost comical. "You didn't tell them you would be picking me up?" Jisoo whispered to Jin who replied with a chuckle, "Where's the fun in that?"
"Attention, lady Jisoo is already here" Jennie said once Jisoo gave her the signal. Instantly all faces turned towards them with surprise. "Oh!" The oldest worker stumbled before walking up to Jisoo. "halmeoni" Jisoo said with a soft voice. No it wasn't her true grandmother, but she was everything one needed in a grandmother. Love. "Joo, you've grown so big!" halmeoni said putting her chubby hands around Jisoo's own. "It's nice to see you again".
It was nothing more than a rookie mistake for Jungkook to do what he did. Seems that he did not learn enough from Jennie's tantrums. See Lisa had nothing to lose now, and that comes with a drastic change of courage. With all her might she kicked the bodyguard in the crotch and approached Jungkook with seething anger. "Your loss!" Lisa yelled with spite about to launch herself onto Jungkook if it weren't for Hoseok who pulled her back. "Sir can I please have proof that you are who you claim to be" Yeri stated but she was left ignored as Jungkook watched Lisa try putting herself back together in entertainment. "Now now, I can send you to jail for that" Jungkook tauntingly said closing in on Lisa as he pointed to Jimin who was groaning with pain. Lisa looked over at him, "I apologize sir, I should have reserved it for him." before turning back at Jungkook and looking him dead in the eye.
"Lisa we should go, if the dean hears about this your scholarship might get affected!" Hoseok said worriedly hoping to get Lisa away. "Scholarship? to where" Jungkook asked with interest. "It is none of your business." Lisa snapped, "Oh but it might be if my family is the one sponsoring it Lalisa Manoban" He said letting the words fall out of his mouth as he read her name-tag. Lisa was again shocked to silence, her lips pressed together. He wouldn't. No he wouldn't mess with her life this much over a slice of cake.
But he would. Jungkook would do it with a smile.
"Consider that scholarship denied."
"Goodbye"
After greeting what felt like an entire country, Jisoo was able to take sanctuary in her old room that still reflected the innocence of 2 years ago.
Across from her own bed, Jisoo saw Jennie cuddled up in her blankets. Jisoo had met Jennie when the both of them were nothing but toddlers, as Jennie's mother was the head maid to Jisoo's mother. The two of them instantly clicked and became nothing less than sisters. Around the time Jisoo's youngest brother Taehyung was born Jennie and Jisoo were inseparable, and so of course they would share the same room. Today the two had the same dynamic but played mistress and maid for those who disapproved of their companionship.
"It's the same. but something feels different" Jisoo wondered aloud.
"Its us. we changed."
"Supposedly so, but it feels bigger?"
"Like something unsuspecting is waiting?" Jennie guessed
"No. Maybe everyone and everything has changed, but its hidden with fake fronts"
