My Latest Fixation

Chapter 3

         It's been two whole days. Two whole days since I have kissed Kimberly, and I am trying to be strong and I'm trying to get over it, but it's a lot harder than I could've ever imagined. I keep remembering my mother's words "show her what she is missing" so I'm showing up to school today dressed to the nines, I'm wearing my favorite button up short sleeve shirt over a white t shirt with my some skinny jeans and I'm wearing my favorite neff beanie. My phone has been going off for days, with friends texting me asking if I'm okay and I just don't have the heart to reply, I can't fake it, but I'm going to have to fake it.

     I'm currently walking into school, it was nice taking Monday off and having a full day to reflect on everything that is going on. I make it to my locker and I look over and I see Hunter walking up to me. Hunter is one of Kimberly's best friends, she has long red hair and she is kind of quiet, but she is always in Kayla and Kimberly's  shadow and will do whatever she can to fit in with them. It's not like they are the most popular girls in school or anything but they are known for being nice girls and they are well liked by everyone.
"Hey Titus, how are you doing buddy"
"I'm good, how are you" I say in a suspicious Tone.
"Listen man, I just need to let you know, that we caught you driving by Kim's home 3 times last night and you need to stop or her dad is going to call the cops"
I look at her shocked, I can't believe she is confronting me on this.
"Hunter, I don't know what you're talking about" I lie
"We all saw your black Toyota Camry drive by 3 times last night, we know it's yours because we saw the band stickers on the back bumper" she says back to me
"I didn't do it hunter, maybe my mom took my car out or something."
"You're a bad liar Titus" she says back and then grins this fake ass smile back at me.
"Well Hunter, you're a dumb bitch who will never be as hot or as funny as Kimberly." I say to her and then walk off
I then hear her in the distance "one more time and we are calling the cops" she lets out in a yell.
I could feel all eyes on me and I hated this feeling.
No one in this whole school gets what I'm going through right now.

             I'm at my lunch table and I'm sitting with one of my closest friends Aiden, Aiden is the kind of guy who is very well liked and always has people trying to hit him up, he always dates the cutest girls and he always knows where all the best parties are. He is in a pop punk band with a few other guys from our area, he plays the guitar and does back up vocals, among Aiden and I is our other close friend Parker, he is the drummer in Aidens band and also someone I have known the majority of my life. Our mothers were best friends in high school and they are still very close today. The last person we have sitting with us is our good friend Brianna, she is a pretty girl sure, she has long blonde hair, pretty eyes and a small frame but I never saw her like that, I mean she is fucking Brianna, someone I have always seen as just a friend and she is basically one of the guys. She doesn't get into drama like the other girls do and truthfully she plays video games more then I do, and she is also my co worker at circuit world; this Best Buy knock off store her father owns, Aiden and Parker work there also, but since they have the band I usually work more hours then they do, and that's okay.

            "So like; Titus, what the fuck happened" Aiden says to me while picking around at the food that's currently on his plate.
"Do we even have to talk about it?" I say back quickly.
"You forced us to hang out with her for years, we at least deserve to know what happened" Parker says back.
I then just did an eye roll, I didn't force them into anything; they were fucking lucky someone like Kimberly would agree to hang out with them
"I always thought you could do better" Brianna says then smiles lightly, while also scooting around the pieces of corn that currently occupy her plate.
I then just shoot Brianna this knowing look.
"Okay; if you're not ready to talk about it, that's okay, I just think she is being silly dude and she will be back with you by the end of the week" Aiden says to me then smiles
"You really think so man?" I say back
"I absolutely do, she would be crazy to stay broken up from you; I mean you did EVERYTHING for her, you drove her to school, housed her on the weekends, introduced her to good people; I don't see anybody else investing that kind of time on her"
"I really hope you're right man because this fucking sucks"
I'm staring down at the orange that's sitting on my plate; I haven't ate much since Sunday and I'm really going to break that streak by eating an orange? No fucking thank you.
"Anybody would be a dumb ass to not see how much of a catch you are" Brianna said to break up the silence
"Thank you Bree bree; I really appreciate that" I then place my hand on her arm and give her a smile to let her know I appreciate her, I can see her cheeks starting to flush so I pulled my hand away and pressed my palms directly on the thighs.
