*RIAN'S POV*

As I  made my way back to Geometry class, I was crossing my fingers. You know, for luck. So the thing that Mr. Davis and I talked about would work. I sat on my chair, yes, beside Eric of course.

"What took you so long?" He whispered.

"I bumped into Emma, so we talked for a while."

"What did you two talked about?" He asked. Damn. He is totally getting in my nerves right now.

"It's a girl talk. You don't need to know." I said, clenching my teeth to show him that I'm really annoyed.

"Okay, okay. Chill." He said, surrendering his arms up.

Finally the bell rang.

Geometry class was over.

Finally free.

*DEVON'S POV*

So we were in the library for a couple of minutes, until the bell rang.

"Finally, come on. Lunch time." I said, then started to get up.

Before I am perfectly up, a warm, soft hand held my arm. Isabelle was looking straight and I felt a burning gaze. Her eyes melted half of me.

"Stay." She whispered.

"But it's-"

"Stay." She said again.

I obeyed her and sat down beside her. Damn. She can control me really fast.

*RIAN'S POV*

I made my way to the cafeteria and met Emma and Logan. We sat down the table where we used to sit. Then I noticed so something. Someone was missing.

Devon.

"Have any of you guys seen Devon?" I asked them. Then their faces went blank. Emma shrugged her shoulders while Logan shook his head. Where could he be at this time? He should be here by now. Right now. I have to find him. No, wait. I'll talk to him later.

I was sipping my milk little by little while staring at students passing by our table. When suddenly, someone stopped in front of us.

Kurt Hesse.

An honor student. And I can tell, he has never changed. Still same outfit. Collared shirt that was tucked in his belt with his beige-colored pants, and pointy shoes. He doesn't wear glasses. He isn't like any nerd student. Kurt is proper, doesn't sniff and talks like a professional. But other students doesn't see the real him. Kurt has been a good friend to me.

"I think, someone wants to give you this note." He said, and passed me a little folded note with my name in front.

"Thanks." I said and smiled to him. And he did too. I watched him fade away from my sight slowly. Then finally opened the note. I was expecting that the note was from Devon. But no, it was from someone who I don't really want to communicate with right now.

Eric.

    Rian,

Meet me at your locker. I need to talk with you please.

                                                                            -Eric

This has to end. I have to tell him everything that is in my mind so he could shut his big mouth and keep his eyes off me.

"What's that?" Emma asked.

"Oh, it's uh, nothing. Anyway, I have to go." I told them in a rush, grabbed my bag then went away.

So? Eric wants to talk? Fine, we'll talk the real talk.
