CHAPTER FIVE
Lunch time.
Finally.
So I texted Emma to meet me up.
To: Emma
"Hey Em! Meet me up at my locker? I have unbelievable news. Thanks! :) x"
I walked fast through my lockers and place my things there. I was so excited to tell her about Eric.
As I shut my locker door, Emma's face lit up out of nowhere. "Boo!" She shouted in front of my face. Of course, I was startled. Then I took one deep breath.
"You okay?" Emma asked.
"I don't think so. You surprised me too much. I think my heart is pumping very fast." I placed my hand on my heart and tried to feel it's beat. I started getting weak on the knees very slowly. So Emma was helping me stand up.
"Oh my god Rian. I'm so sorry. Let's go get help." Emma said, nervously. I can hear her voice getting lumpy. And I can see her eyes get watery.
"No." I took more deep breaths.
Until.
Until I started laughing very loud and helping myself get up.
"Calm down Em, I was joking." I kept laughing and her jaw dropped. I can't stop. "You- you should've seen the look on your face!" I continued, then I started bursting in tears.
Finally.
I stopped.
"I hate you." Emma said. Her expression was ashamed, but she was trying not to laugh as well.
"And I love you best friend! HAHA. Never surprise the legend." I said and raised a finger. "Let's go."
We reached the cafeteria. And I saw Devon and Logan wave at us and offered us to take a seat.
Same table.
Same chairs.
Emma and I started walking towards them.
"Hey." Emma said, sitting beside Logan. He then gave Emma a kiss on the cheek which made her very red, and made Logan smile.
"What's up?" Devon said.
"Everything's cool." I replied.
Devon nodded. And something flashed and made him smile. He waved at the crowd and tried to call someone.
"Rogue! Over here!" He shouted.
Rogue?
Who would one name someone Rogue?
Except if it is a reptile.
I tried not to look back. 'Cause apparently, Rogue will come over here and sit with Devon.
He now soon reached our table and sat beside Devon which I expected. And as I soon saw his face...
OH MY GOD.
"Rian, have you met Rogue?" Devon asked. Patting him on the shoulder.
"Um..." was all I can say.
"He's my cousin by the way." Devon added.
