CHAPTER THIRTEEN
*DEVON'S POV*
Isabelle and I went back to school to get my car.
"Do you still want to pick that up? I can pick you up in the morning tomorrow." She offered.
"No, I don't want my baby to just hang there alone." I said, then she nodded.
"See you tomorrow then." She said, then bit her lower lip.
"Yeah, see you." I said, and just as I held the door she held my arm again.
"Wait." She said, then leaned on and kissed me on the cheek. Her lips were soft and warm. I was surprised and was awaken. "Thank you for cutting class with me today. And you know, dealing with the thing I did a while ago."
"Oh it's okay. I can explain it to Rian later." I said then she nodded.
"Bye." We both said in chorus and I got out of her car.
I just stood there in front of her car and watched her go. Then I waved. And just as I was walking towards my car I started doing fist pumps. I didn't expect that kiss on the cheek was going to happen. I also tried texting Rian after that hapening. But she won't reply. She must be home right now, or maybe she's ignoring me.
*RIAN'S POV*
Eric dropped me home and I thanked him for this day. I also received a few text messages from Devon but I ignored it. But as I got in my room I read his texts.
MESSAGE 1
From: Devon
Hey Rian are you home now? I'm sorry about a while ago.
MESSAGE 2
From: Devon
Hey Ri, I am worried. Why won't you reply? Please talk to me.
And still, I ignored his messages and had a shower.
*DEVON'S POV*
I drove back home waiting for Rian's reply to my text messages. I have that weird feeling that what Isabelle did on the phone was wrong, but there is a good feeling inside that tells me that it is right. But what about tomorrow? Will we just pretend as couples? Now what shit have I got into? Shut up Devon, you can do this.
*ISABELLE'S POV*
I parked my car in the garage, and saw my dad cleaning his car.
"Hey dad." I greeted him, cheerfully.
"Where have you been? How come you're like a flower blooming on a Sunday morning? Did you go out with somebody or something?" He asked, continuously wiping the silver rims of his car.
"No, dad. I just, you know. Can't I be happy even just for once?" I bit my lip, and smiled. I think my dimples were showing.
"Well you better not have dates with anyone before telling me who this guy is." He pointed his finger at me, and pretended to reload his gun by the use of his hands.
"Of course I will."
"Okay, now let's go have dinner with your sister." He said, placed his hand on my shoulders and kissed my forehead. I took a deep sigh and we walked inside the house.
