Armelle
As time passes by, I couldn't help but miss my sister Amelia. It has been almost two years since I left. I speak to her every day, facetime her and her baby girl Mila. She is the most adorable baby I have ever seen.
"How's my favorite niece doing?", I ask Amelia when she Facetime me.
"Really, Armelle. She is your only niece". She laughs while answering me.
"I am coming back, Amy in a few weeks. And please don't shout..."
"Yes, finally my baby sister is coming back home", she shouts when I asked her not to and now she will blame me that waking up Mila from her nap.
I looked at her counting five seconds till Mila starts crying and Caleb came down the stairs carrying her in his arms.
"Babe, Mila is looking for you". says Caleb walking down the stairs carrying Mila in his arms just like I always predicted.
"It's all your fault", she pointed at me. I wasn't even surprised by her reactions.
"Amy, this is what you do almost every day and you blame me". I chuckled at her. Caleb joined me in laughing at her while Mila looks at us with confusion about what was going on.
"Okay, that's enough. When will you be arriving? Do you need someone to pick you up from the airport?", asks Caleb as he places Mila on her mother's lap. She then turned to the camera.
"No thanks, beau-frère. Thanks, we got everything that is needed." (means Brother-in-law).
"We?", they both shouted at me.
Crap, why did I even say we? They still don't know about William. My gay best friend and fellow chef.
"I have to go now. Take care Amy. Love you bye". I quickly turned off my phone disconnecting the call.
Amelia
Armelle is bringing someone home, I don't know how would Alex feel about it. As he is been waiting for her all this time. He even became a workaholic with no life outside work.
"Are you going to tell him about her coming back? He needs to know". I asked Caleb because they are best friends and business partners.
"I don't know. Maybe we should just let them meet". He tells me when I knew he was right.
I nodded yeah. Only time will tell if things would be okay or if they would go worse than they are. We could only wait.
As the week goes by, it was the day of my sister Armelle's return. What I didn't know was that Alex was coming over to the house to see Caleb.
"Caleb, Is something wrong? You have been anxious about something". Alex asks Caleb.
"Nothing dude. Everything is okay. Would you like some beer?". Asks Caleb while walking inside the kitchen. As he walked him, the doorbell rang.
"I will get that ", says Alex as he opens the door. He saw Armelle with a guy who looked good-looking.
"Alex, Hey".
"Hey, Armelle Come in". Says Caleb. I sat on the couch holding Mila while she drinks her bottle of milk.
"Thanks, I hope am not interrupting anything". She says.
"No, you aren't interrupting anything". I said getting up with Mila in my arms and handing her to her father.
"I missed you so much, Paris did well for you". I tell her while hugging her.
She hugged me. "Am sorry, This is William, My fiancee." She introduces him to us.
"This is my sister Amelia and her husband Caleb. And this precious munchkin is Mila their daughter. And this Alex my former boss".
Alex
The way she introduced me really hurts. 'Former boss'. Thats hurts. I get it now.
"Excuse me, I have to go. I promised my parents that I would go to dinner with them", I said as I walked out. I glanced at how she was with William.
" I still have a chance to get her back. She isn't married to him yet". The excuse of my parents asking me for dinner isn't even real. I had to get out of there before I could take her with me.
Planning something like that will require a lot of time to get things in order. I will get her back no matter what.
