CHAPTER 13

Y/N WALKS THROUGH THE BALCONY DOORS. She sings as Troy walks down the aisle towards her.

"You know how life can be,
it changes overnight
It's sunny then raining

All I wanna do." The two sing together as Troy walks closer and closer towards the stage. Taylor and Chad, having heard their friends' voice, stood next to Ryan off stage.

"That is Troy Bolton." The Juilliard guests mutter as Troy walks towards Y/N.

"Is be with you
Be with you
There's nothing we can't do
Just wanna be with you

No matter where life takes us
Nothing can break us apart
You know it's true." Troy climbs up the tree as Y/N walks over to him, staring into his eyes. As they continue to sing, Troy and Y/N move closer to each other. As they are close enough, they turn to face each other, smiling.

"I just wanna be with you

The sun will always shine
That's how you make me feel
We're gonna be all right
Cause what we have is real
And we will always be together." Troy spins Y/N out causing her to spin to the end of the balcony. The two run at each other, Troy picking her up and spinning her aroun.

"All I wanna do
Is be with you
Be with you." Taylor comes up from behind Y/N. She touches Y/N's arm, causing her to look at her. Y/N gasp as she sees Taylor, hugging her tightly. Ryan appears on her other side, causing Y/N to hug him. Martha walks up to Y/N. The two bumps hips together, laughing as they continue to sing.

"There's nothing we can't do

I just wanna be with you." Y/N laughs as Zeke and Jason pick her up. They set her down, leaving a kiss on each cheek. Chad comes up behind her, hugging her, causing Y/N to laugh. Chad releases Y/N just as Troy walks up next to her. He holds out a bouquet of red roses causing Y/N to smile. She accepts the roses with a smile as Troy wraps his arm around her waist, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"All I wanna do

I just wanna be with you." Y/N pulls a rose out of her bouquet, throwing it to Kelsey, causing the flower to land on the piano. Y/N and Troy hold the last note, gazing at each other with nothing but love in their eyes.

The crowd cheers as Y/N, Troy and their friends embrace on stage, Y/N smiling widely. As the crowd cheers the group off stage, Sharpay, who was crying in her dressing room, suddenly stops. She looks up at her disheveled reflection before smirking.

"Sharpay Evans, I believe you're in the wrong costume." She looks over at her blue dress hanging in her closet.

The curtain open, revealing Tiara standing in front of a blue star.

"Who's that girl?
She's so fine
Who's that girl?
I don't recognize
Who's that girl?
She looks so good, yeah
Guess you never really noticed
but you probably should." Her dancers sing as they dance around the stage.

"Big fun

For all time." As Tiara sings, she frowns as her voice mixes with another. Looking up, Tiara glares as she sees Sharpay standing on prop as it lowers her down to the floor.

"Surprise." Sharpay smirks at Tiara as she descends from the ceiling.

"Big fun
It's gonna be the night
We love it
To last forever
The rest of our lives
We'll never ever ever forget
It's gonna be...
My night." The wildcats all gather behind stage, watching the spectacle, laughing.

"Oh, yeah

Come on now
Everyone, that's right
It's gonna be a night
You can bet

"To remember
Hear the crowd
And never ever ever
Never ever ever
Never ever never
ever ever forget." As the two near the end of the song, Ryan waits until both girls land on the descending part of the stage. He presses the button, causing Tiara and Sharpay to descend, as they continue to sing.

The crowd cheers as Tiara and Sharpay try to be in front of each other. As they exit the stage the lights brighten, signaling intermission. As the audience stands up to stretch, or go to the bathroom, Ms. Darbus greets the Juilliard guests who have made their decision, backstage.

"Thank you so much." They said as one of them handed Ms. Darbus a piece of paper with their decision on it. "It was such a great show."

"See them out, please. Thank you." Ms. Darbus orders Dion who nods.
