Y/n walks into her house, hands full of groceries. She throws her house and car keys into the dish next to the front door before kicking the door shut. Kicking off her heels Y/N sighs as she begins to regain feeling in her toes. Walking further into her house, she heads towards the kitchen. Sighing as she places the bags on the counter Y/N walks over to her fridge.

She lets out a shout of pain as her foot steps on something hard. Glancing down, Y/N huffs as she pulls the lego off her foot.

"Peter!"

There was a thud upstairs followed by the sound of feet running down the stairs. Y/N shakes her head as she sees her eleven old brunette boy, look up at her with eyes identical to her own.

"Yes, mom?"

Y/N holds up the lego in the air for Peter to see causing the little boy to sigh. "We talked about this Peter. You have to pick up your toys. What if Ally got this?" Y/N asks as she talks about Peter's youngest sibling.

Peter nods sadly, before dragging his feet over to his mom. "Sorry mom."

Y/N sighs as she places the lego in his hands, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Love you."

"Love you too."

"Where's your father, Abby and Lilly, baby?" Y/N questions looking around the house.

"In the backyard." Peter answers pointing his finger towards the back door.

Y/N nods her head. "Now," she starts as she stands up straight, "Why don't you help mom put away the groceries while we wait for one of them to notice I'm home, ok?"

Peter nods his head and helps his mom put the groceries away. It was Christmas Eve Eve, and Peter and Lily had the next two weeks off from school. The plan was to spend Christmas here then, the family of five will travel to the ski lodge Y/N spent New Years at all those years ago.

Placing the last grocery into the fridge, Y/N takes the empty bag and places them into the cupboard for the next grocery trip. As she closes the cupboard door, she hears the back door open followed by the sounds of little feet running into the house.

"Mommy!" Lilly Bolton yells as she runs into her mother's open arms.

"Hey baby! Did you have fun outside?" Y/N asks as she hugs her oldest daughter tightly.

"Yeah!" The eight year old nodded excitedly, her pig tails moving up and down, her blue eyes wide in excitement. "Daddy tried to go down the slide again, but he was to big and it broke."

Y/N sighs before looking above her daughters head, seeing her husband's blue eyes staring back at her with a guilty look on his face. Her eyes move to the two year old toddler in his arms, eyes a mixture of hers and Troy's.

"Troy." Y/N groans. "Again. You know you can't go down their slide. Didn't you figure that out the first two times."

Troy smiles sheepishly before handing Abby to her mother. "Sorry, sweetheart." He murmurs as he presses a kiss to his wife's frown.

.......................................................

New Years Eve, the Bolton family of five step out of their cabin and into the snow. Abby is in the child daycare center while Lily and Peter are at the kids New Years party. Y/N and Troy were dressed ready for the Adult's party. As they walk through the main cabin, kid free, Y/N is hit with a wave nostalgia as she sees the same couch her sixteen year old self sat on the night she met Troy.

She smiles as Troy wraps his arm around his wife's waist leading her to another room. Stepping into the party, the couple smile as they see a karaoke booth. Troy leads his wife over to the bar as they watch a couple sing. As Y/N takes a sip of her beverage, her eyes roam over the crowd, stopping on a familiar face.

"Troy, honey." Y/N says hitting Troy's bicep, causing him to look at his wife, confused. "Does he look familiar to you?"

Following his wife's eye, Troy frowns as he sees who she was looking at. "He does. Did he got to East High?"

Y/N shakes her head. She gasps suddenly, causing Troy to jump making his drink spill out over the sides. "It's the karaoke dude." Troy looks at her confused. "The night we met, he was the one who hosted the karaoke. He introduced us, but not really."

Troy looks over at the man, and sure enough he had resembled the man to a tee. Glancing at Y/N, he frowns as he doesn't see her. Turning his head, Troy sees Y/N heading towards the man. Groaning, he follows after his wife.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm going to thank him." Y/N answers back as they approach the man.

"Hi." The man turns his head to see a woman and a man staring at him with a smile.

"Hi?"

Y/N laughs slightly, "I'm sorry, you probably don't remember us but about twenty years ago, you were the karaoke host for the young adult party on New Years, right?" At the man's nods, Y/N continues, "You actually introduced us, and here we are twenty years later, married. I- we just wanted to say thank you. If it wasn't for you, we probably never would've met."

The man smiles as he looks between the couple. "You're welcome."
