Meeting Her

Alex's POV
I rolled over on my bunk to turn off my alarm. I got up and went to wake everyone else up. I was usually the first one awake, but when I walked out to get some cereal, Ellie was already sitting on the couch eating her breakfast.

I sat down next to her "what are you doing up so early?" Ellie looked at me and laughed "I never went to sleep" I looked at her funny "what? Are you nervous?" I smirked and she punched me in the arm playfully. Of course she was nervous, we all were. As the rest of the band walked out to get their breakfast, Kyle got us our schedule and a map of the venue so we wouldn't get lost. After we all ate, we went to the Warheads stage and started setting up. We were first to play on this stage.

As we were setting up, I noticed our tent across the big area of grass and outdoors. It was right next to the Paramore tent. Paramore is my all-time favorite band, I turned around to look at my bandmates and started jumping up and down like a dumbass "OUR TENT IS NEXT TO PARAMORES TENT!!!!!" They were used to me fangirling over them though. After a few minutes of pure freak out, Kelsey walked over and slapped me in the face "snap out of it, maniac! You gotta act cool, we're pros now!" She chuckled and went to finish setting up her drumset, and I turned to fix my mic and make sure everything worked alright.

As we finished setting up, we started walking towards our tent, when we saw Hayley, Taylor, and Jeremy walking towards their tent. They sat down in the tent next to ours and waved us over. "Hey guys! You excited?" Hayley said smiling. Ellie looked at her honestly, "to be completely straight with you, we're really fucking nervous and we are fangirling massively that you're even talking to us" I looked at Hayley and blushed after Ellie made a slight gesture toward me after saying "fangirling." Hayley just chuckled slightly "well we want to be your friends since we are here and our tents will be next to each other the whole tour" she smiled at me. Oh my god she smiled at me. I think I might faint if she smiles at me again. There was more to my fangirling than just the music and famous aspect. I had a massive crush on Hayley Williams. I smiled back "well we have to get going, our set starts in 10!" I start walking away, but Hayley stops me in my tracks. She turned me around "can we come backstage and watch?" I started messing with my fingers and shaking a little "uh-uh y-yeah I guess...."

Our set was amazing! We had so many people show up and rock out, they actually sang our lyrics. OURS. It was awesome. After the set, I walked towards the back and got off stage, Hayley smiled at me as she handed me a piece of paper and ran off to hug her boyfriend, Chad. God I hated that guy. He got to have Hayley all to himself. As we walked off stage a bunch of screaming girls ran up to the metal fencing and screamed my name and I looked over at them. I was openly gay, and our fans still loved us. Which was the best thing I could've asked for. I walked over and they all quieted down, anticipating what I was about to say. "Hey ladies! We are gonna have a meet and greet in a few minutes at our tent over there! Meet us there and you'll get free, signed ROM shirts!" They all scattered and ran towards the tent. "Why the fuck did you do that?! Now they're literally gonna kill us with all the fangirling they're doing!" Kelsey looked at me and we all chuckled as they put away their instruments.

As we walked towards our tent for the meet and greets, I saw Hayley by herself in the P-more tent with her hood up. She looked like she was upset. As much as I wanted to help her, I couldn't because I had to sign autographs and talk to the fans. After the meet and greet line was gone, I opened the piece of paper that Hayley gave me earlier:
Alex,
I just want you to know that you did great! Here's my number, 443-123-4567 come by the p-more bus later if you wanna hang :)

Oh my god. Hayley Williams wrote me a note. I shoved it in my pocket and walked over to the girl, who was still sitting in her tent alone. I sat down in the chair next to her, but she still had her head down. "What's wrong?" I looked at her worriedly. Finally, she looked up and I saw that her lip was busted and she had a black eye. "Oh my god Hayley! Come on, I have something on our bus for this" she stood up and followed me to the ROM bus and we walked in. I ran to the back and grabbed the first-aid kit. Hayley was sitting on the couch as I got out some ice and gauze to wipe her lip. "Who did this to you Hayley?" She just looked at me hesitantly "I don't know if I should tell you. This might happen to you" she started crying, and I wiped her tears with my thumbs "I can hold my own, now please, tell me who did it" I pleaded with her and she sighed "it was Chad. He got mad at me because I was talking to We Are The In Crowd earlier and he thought I was flirting with Rob. He got a little angry with me" she looked down. I grabbed her chin and made her look at me so I could put Neosporin on her lip and as I was dabbing, we locked eyes. God her eyes were beautiful. "Hayley, he shouldn't do this to you. You deserve better. I know you think he loves you..." I handed her the ice pack for her eye and continued "but this, isn't love" she looked at me and smiled weakly "yeah, you're right. I know that it's not right but I'm with him for a reason...a huge reason."

It'll work, I promise.
